Within the last 3-days the following rumor tidbits have appeared online:

1. Kings trade#8 + (+ = additional Kings) for:
- Eric Bledsoe and lower picks
- Taj Gibson
- Al Horford and lower pick
- Omar Asik

The + part the Kings would have to add is anyones guess.

Where did you see the Gibson or Asik rumors? I'm interested

The rumor I heard on 1140 this morning was the #8 and Thomas to the Suns for Bledsoe. I can't see that being true though, way too much for Bledsoe. Another thing and please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we can trade Thomas before the draft. I don't think we can work out a sign and trade until free agency starts, is that right?

Not too much in terms for value. Sixth man + mid-lottery draft pick for a guy who was on track to be an all-star before being bit by the injury bug is par for course on the trade market if not a little below a typical all-star trade.

I don't think 8+IT is too much for Bledsoe. We get our starting PG who can defend, make plays, hit the boards, is crazy athletic, and has a connection and good chemistry with cousins - can't put a price on that. i really think Bledsoe would get the best out of cuz too

I'd love to have Bledsoe on this team. And the 8th pick + Thomas is fine with me, I don't believe it's too much at all. Bledsoe is a stud, he will be an all star in this league. Unfortunately I don't believe the Suns will do this trade.

There might be good reason for the Suns to do this. If they figure that Thomas is a lesser version of Bledsoe and there is someone that they are targeting in the draft that they feel will make a difference for them then it makes sense. Maybe they wait to see if that player falls to us during the draft. I don't think we can trade our pick until the draft anyway.

The bigger issue is those guys can't be traded (or even negotiated with I believe) until FA begins.

I don't think it is too much either. This trade would be an upgrade for us IMO. However, I am afraid that Phoenix would believe they would not be getting enough in return for Bledsoe.

Guys like Zach Lowe and Bill Simmons were calling Bledsoe a "mini lebron" type of player because of the versitility he offers and an all around solid game. I would do that trade in a heartbeat but Phoenix isnt letting a player like that go, they have publicly said a few times that they plan on keeping him regardless of price.

He may be available, considering that the Suns have a very solid PG in Goran Dragic. Thomas could work well with them as a 6th man and also playing on the floor with Dragic, who is long enough to cover some bigger guards.

Also the Suns and Hornacek's style is more run and gun and score a lot, which obviously is a fit for Thomas

Amongst other difficulties with this rumor, Bledsoe is rumored to be looking for max, IT presumably will not get that much. Its about the only motivation I can imagine for the Suns, but we'd still have to match somehow, and then we'd have THREE max guys in Cousins/Gay/Bledsoe...and that would have to get it done because that would be your cap.

Bledsoe is still more of a SG than a PG. Although i do believe he is an upgrade over IT on both ends of the floor.

Gibson is a nice player but not worth losing the 8 pick for

Asik is overrated

Horford is a really good player but can't stay healthy

Their style is a fit for Bledsoe as well, and they already have him.

This is why we have to pray that Gay opts out of his last year to free-up that 19M. We can do a lot with 19M. That 19M plus the supposed future salary of IT can bring us possibilites of a Bledsoe or Lowry and a defensive player like Gibson. The rest of the roster then could be filling the blanks Miami-style.

The only one of those I would want is AL Horford and the only way the Hawks give him up is if they know something is physically wrong with him. I still think our best bet is to get a combonation of Larry Sanders/Chris Middleton/Brandon Knight with Larry Sanders being one of the two in every scenario. As far as Asik no thank you.

I read the following that indicates "something is physically wrong" with Sanders:

Contrary to a report, the market for Sanders is virtually non-existent as he not only has been plagued by off-court issues — he is expected to enter a rehab facility this summer — but will be entering the first of a four-year, $44 million contract next season.

I'm all for giving guys second chances but not at 11 million a year,

Except Bledsoe is a restricted free agent, which mean's we'll look like George Maloof when Phoenix matches the offer and we wind up with Cuz and a whole bunch of nothing.

In the least surprising revelation of the year, Larry Sanders has a substance abuse problem. Tell us something we don't know.

Must I constantly remind everyone?

I would think that suggests something is mentally wrong, not physically. Sounds like substance abuse. I'd still take the chance if the price was right and he's willing to work on his problems. Anytime I've heard him speak, he actually sounds intelligent enough and not really a douche, which means there might be hope, but actions have spoken louder than words so far.

Can rehab faclility be for anger issues or something similar rather than strictly alchole/drug abuse? Or is the term rehab facility strictly meant for drugs?
