Your 2005 Champions - the Sacramento MONARCHS!!

On M's talk they said they might use the two hours next week to rebroadcast the game or highlights of it.

The M's have had an on court MC since I wanna say 1999 (because that's as far back as I remember them having one) and the first person I remember was Tina Machua from KMAX 31. She went a few years and was replaced by Sandra Furlong, also of KMAX (and future Mrs Kozimor) and I believe Shawn Allen replaced her. Either that or they went a year without one because I'm pretty sure he's been here at least two years.
 ....Great, I've just lost a longstanding bet. Hmmm, but what they don't know won't hurt them. I think I'll just keep this information to myself. ;)

::evil laugh::

I just started thinking about the rings today. I can't wait to see what they look like!! But it's a shame that our gals have to wait nearly a full year just to see them.

Don't be to hard on ''Big Mike'' he used to be our one & only ''Monty'' Now he's big time with the Kings. He's really a cool guy. At the first All-star game in NY, Monty came skipping down the street to greet us. This is where we found out his identiy. Some Monarch history.

We love our sports here in Sac Town....Monarchs have made the city proud.

I liked Big Mike when I saw him at last week's trophy game. He was energetic and excited, but not at all obnoxious or stupid like a lot of on-court MC's. Very 'balanced', I would say.

As for the rings, you know our gals are all about the 'bling-bling'! And with the Maloofs being Las Vegas successes, they've got to have some really good jewerly connections.

Somewhere along the line, there was a misunderstanding in this thread. That was not Big Mike that you saw at last week's championship game. The on court MC for the past couple of years has been Shawn Allen.

oops...that is what I get for not attending enough Monarchs games...
I expect to see you at more games next year. In fact, season tickets would be nice. :)

Motto: Get your tix for 2006.

I would love to, but it's the time and the money that is the issue. Maybe they have quarter-season season tickets though. And I hate going alone! Although I could always try and get a seat in yours and MBF's section I guess so at least I know two people there.

Some people even carpool to save on parking. I am buying a parking pass up front. Also, they have partial season plans where you still get the benefits of being a season ticket holder. And, if you call and get in now, you can break it down into 4-5 payments (I think).

You are only alone until you get to know the people around you or around the arena. That to me has been the added bonus on top of the basketball over the years.
Excellent point, I didn't think of that. When you sit by the same people all the time (STH), then you do get to know them eventually!

Heck, RoyalDiva, I've even been on vacation with some of the folks near me at Arco, and I didn't know them before the W came into existance!

It's like a family when you stay in the same seats. The people in front of me started out with an eighth grader, and this year she is a college graduate! Imagine my surprise when I saw her walking around with a cocktail. ;)

Monarch & Kings games...Arco's like a 2nd home to me! I go for the game...but I love seeing all the familar faces of friends & strangers. The whole experience brings me such joy.

It does seem long ago, in a place far, far away.......

But it really was here!!!!!!! So tonight I'm going to have my picture taken with the trophy..wahoo!
