You guys wanted losses and you are getting them...

Reggie has certainly proven to be something of a professional loser -- he proved it as a player, is proving it as a coach. But if he would just learn to lose in the right way (playing the kids) he'd be almost perfect for this situation. Cheap, expendable, helping us with our draft position. But that ego is just remarkable. There really is no excuse for him getting fired this early except for he himself. All he had to do was say yes sir, if that's the way you want to play it, and he gets his two years. But no, not Reggie. In some ways its worse than Muss -- Reggie can coach a little. Sometimes. Can reach his players. Sometimes. And then to get yourself fired over Mikki freakin' Moore? Really?

cmon now, do you honestly think that if reggie played the kids anything would be different? we would have the same amount of losses if not more and the maloofs would still be complaining about him... lose lose situation for our coach.

Wins and losses don't matter. You're missing the point. I, nor Brick for that matter, care about how many losses we have. AFAIC, the more the better. I'm not saying that's how all fans feel but since you quoted Bricks point I feel the need to clarify. It's not about the record, it's about developing our young guys. There is absolutely zero reason to have Mikki playing over Jason. There is no reason to play Jason just 11 minutes. He's a rookie, he's going to go through bad patches. But he's proved he can play, and he's proved he's better than Mikki ever has or will be. Let him play.

I would rather go 10-72 with Brown/Martin/Greene/Thompson/Hawes and Garcia getting the majority of the minutes than 40-42 playing the vets. Utterly pointless, and plain stupid when rebuilding. No excuse at all for it.

Nice summary of what I think a lot of us are feeling.

I have one minor clarification, at least from POV.

I don't need to see the kids getting "the majority of the minutes" so much as I really want to see them get more quality minutes and not just garbage time or a minute here and there without being in long enough to get into the flow of the game.

Balance the kids better and use the veterans to keep things on an even keel. I really liked seeing Miller and Hawes out there and would have loved to see Jason rotated into that, using either Miller or Hawes at the 5 and Jason IN POSITION at the 4.

There is a balance that can be struck that will give the kids time AND allow them to grow in the positions they're best suited to play. Dart-board substitution, however, seems to be the "system" Reggie has decided to go with - and I find that to be without merit and totally undefendable.

I do agree that wins and losses don't matter. Heart and hustle, energy and enthusiasm DO matter - and we see that from the kids, not the veterans playing extended minutes in losing situations.
