OK, the votes have been tallied. Yo is starting! She deserves it! I don't know about the East voting though, a couple of head scratchers there.

WEST:
Bird
Taurasi
Swoopes
Jackson
Griffith

EAST:
Staley
Hammon
Cash (?!)
Catchings
Riley

Glad also to see Yo get some respect around the league from other voters. Glad to see also that despite the fact that people were returning ballots by the boatload at ARCO that we still managed to vote respectfully for players who deserved to represent their conference.

The Swin Cash vote is crazy but no crazier than the Lobo pick a few years ago. I think I showed Taj McWilliams-Franklin some love when I voted. I do remember being stuck with voting for Riley @ center in the East and she is second only to Dydek in the "big stiff most of the time" department for me.

Uh, c'mon Koz and Krista! They keep saying on the radio that this 2005 Yo start is the first EVER All-Star start by a Monarch. First of all, Yo has even started before, over Leslie. That was the year LL got pissed and became the MVP off of the bench. Not to mention, Ruthie started with Ticha and Yo that year. And I'm not positive, but I don't think that Ticha has ever come off the All-Star bench before.

Woohoo!! My favorite WNBA player got some respect. And it is not about stuffing the ballot box. She is playing better than any other center in the West right now. Well deserved honor!!

Yo MAKES STARTING LINE-UP!

Congratulations to Yolanda Griffith!!!!

I am so happy & excited that my favorite Wnba player made the starting line-up. Many of us fans in Sac. will be in attendance at the All-Star game July 9th. This only makes the trip so much sweeter. I'd also like to give DeMaya a shout out for her excellent play this season. She helped us win again tonight vs. N.Y. If I could make a wish, It would be great, to have her voted on as a reserve.
