Boogie All Star stuff -- Cousins Named All Star Reserve

Perhaps you'd be so kind as to help @Amit149 and me out, then, and direct us to some examples of Lowe's "poor" basketball writing? Because, aside from his pettiness being on fleek, I'm not seeing any indication that he's actually bad at his job. And I'm not the type to consider "not being petty" to be a job requirement for a sports writer, so I hope that's not it?

Any examples of technically poor writing? Any stories he wrote about a team that wasn't Sacramento, that he flat was wrong about? Because, if you do have some examples, but they all have to do with the Kings, I'm going to need a little more than that.

Given your objection to my response, it's obvious you fall into the "other" category so there's really nothing I'm going to provide that's going to meet your approval, which isn't anything I was after in the first place.

I could just as easily turn it around and put you on point by asking you to provide some examples of his "good" basketball writing. Whatever you dig up isn't going to satisfy those that dislike him, so what's the point?

When someone lauds Lowe as good writer as if it's fact, I have the right to do the opposite. Good writers don't inject personal bias into their work. You obviously don't agree. Even if he didn't do that, his skills are still nothing above many of the members of this site.

Translation: you've got nothing.

Who decided that?

Lol Grant congratulated Isaiah Thomas on being selected an All-Star.

Congrats to @Isaiah_Thomas for making the all star team! Could not be happier for you!!! Living proof that you can do anything in life!

Meanwhile our star bigman was also selected for the first time by coaches...

I have watched it and it IS for PGs or at least short people. If this is serious and Boogie has been picked to compete, it is a great honor and will shake up people's views/ignorance about his skills.

The trouble is that unless they've changed it around there is a major speed component to it (dribbling weaves up and down the court, that kind of thing). I don't think Cousins is quick enough to really challenge the PGs unless they make several mistakes on the shooting/passing components and he nails those perfectly.

It's nice to see him in, but I don't expect him to win.

Not sure why Boogie would want to do this. He'll have a long remainder of the season ahead of him. It's nice to do the media stuff, interviews and play in the game, but skills challenge? Probably a joke anyways though.

Why not? Boogie has skills....The weekend is about fun. Go have fun and show your skills

First big in history, hopefully helps change the narrative a bit more from, "problem child" to "unbelievable skill set".

I'm all for that and I understand the sentiment. But I just wish it can be done another way. He needs all the rest he can get. He is a big big guy. Any less pounding of the feet and knees is good for the long run.

second time?

Ok so lets just sit here and reflect on what Demarcus is going to go through at all star weekend from:

a) the media
b) his peers
c) fans

i) the kings are the biggest joke in the league - national narrative - owner, front office, org as a whole is a joke
ii) what are you still doing there ? when are you getting out ? - que recruitment drives from players, talks of demanding a trade etc

if there was ever a time for boogie to escape to tahoe for a weekend it would be now. Instead we're about to dunk him right into the middle of a frenzied weekend. Only we have the best timing in the game here in kingsland.
