Season Summary:
So Ryan Hollins put up an average Ryan Hollins year. He has averaged 3.7 points and 2.2 rebounds over an 8 year career. He played stellar man defence (ranked #1 in the league on Isolation plays!), bad help defense, led the team in Points per Shot, had the worst Assist to Turnover ratio and got paid almost $3,000 dollars a minute of playing time.
Advanced Stats Glossary:

Player Comparison:
I thought a fair comparison was Cole Aldrich, since he was:
a) on our team at the end of the Maloof era
b) a journeyman bigman
c) easily available at the same time as Hollins
I was actually surprised how well Hollins did in some areas, but his biggest issue, is he is not Cousins.

Season Highlight:
4/15/2015 VS Los Angeles Lakers
I had to go with our win vs the LA D-League team, where Hollins posted a +10. He did score 15 on the Spurs once, but we lost that game.

Season Lowlight:
11/30/2014 vs Memphis
If you can believe Ryan Hollins actually started this game. Even though he only had a -2, it was a lot of donuts on the stat sheet.

Next Steps:
Retirement I assume.
Possible Replacement:
Hopefully Eric Moreland can return with a vengeance and be the player I was hoping for after Summer League.
Season Grade:
C, it's hard to blame Hollins for our season when he put up an average season for him. The fact that we needed a whole lot more, wasn't his fault.
General Manager Grade:
D, I disagree with the notions that a 28 win team needs to stack up on Veterans. We need talent of any kind. But even assuming Veterans are what we need, Ryan Hollins was the wrong kind of vet. The journeyman who never accomplished much. This always felt like Pete need a 3rd string 7 footer, so lets sign the 30 year old UCLA. I want my GM to be more diligent and scour the earth for possible breakout talent, not just sign retreads.
