Not bad. Still in the top 5 after everything that's gone on...
One thing I noticed at the home opener: The fans who were there were there to enjoy the game and cheer. It wasn't like during the best of times when Kings games became a place to be seen and a lot of people there couldn't tell a basketball from a pomegranate.
I think it could be worse this year, which could drop us out of the top five. Still when you look at the top five cities: Los Angeles (twice); New York and Chicago, it is even more remarkable when you compare the relative regional population.
It could be worse, but if we see the heart and hustle, enery and enthusiasm I've been harping about, I think fans will come out. We used to turn out for a lot less.

I hope so. When you think what the Knicks have been like for so long now and that they are at the top of this list, Sacramento fans seem a bit whiny and spoiled when they say they won't show up for a "sucky" team.
Don't get me wrong, it's the fans right to vote with their dollars, but if we want our only pro sports team to stay here, we need to get a bit of a grip.
I dont think the Lakers should be top 5. When have the Laker fans had to go through tough times other than like 1 or 2 year stretches of average teams. Never. Any team would have top 5 "loyal" fans if they had the success that the Lakers franchise has had.
Exactly. It's easy to be a lakers fan. They hardly lose do they? And when they do suck, they don't suck for too long (only one season out of the playoffs, in that recent "rebuilding" phase they had).
