COMMENTARY | The Lakers have 16 championships. If you want to dissect semantics, five titles were won as the Minneapolis Lakers and 11 more as the Los Angeles Lakers, but even your average first-grader can add those up to 16.

I rarely click on these sorts of things, but this one is top-notch entertainment. Herein you can watch a so-trodden-upon Lakers fan from the eminent "Yahoo Contributors Network" breathlessly argue against imaginary "Laker-haters" in a one-man pissing match to establish that the Lakers ought to be allowed to count the Minneapolis titles towards their number of franchise championships. But I guess when your best player is in his mid-30s and has a torn Achilles' tendon and your second best player just left your team (left the Lakers!?!) in free agency, you're still over the luxury tax and looking towards a lottery ticket next offseason...there's not much else to hang your hat on. It's so desperate, it's cute!

It's almost as much fun as it was going to a Laker board (that shall remain nameless) and read the anti-Howard posts the day he announced he was heading to Houston. Sometimes the sense of entitlement shared by a majority of Laker fans truly boggles the mind.
