As negotiations with the Knicks have stalled, the Rockets have looked for ways to revive talks with Bulls.

As much as i would hate to reaquire Salmons and Miller, it would be worth it to get Thomas. I actually wouldn't mind having them around as long as they didn't expect any major minutes. Or any minutes...

Oh my, you have to be kidding me. Miller and Salmons return???

That woiuld be an utter and complete defeat of all the steps we had taken forward. Kevin comes back, Cisco coems back, Slamosn and Miller comes back. All we'd have to do is resign Mikki Moore and we'd be right back to the good ole days.

Miller's expiring. We could cut him loose to go sign in Indy for all it's worth. It's Salmons that worries me about the deal (and it sounds like he might be headed to the Bucks, anyway).

Looking at it from the standpoint of this summer (once Kenny and Brad expire), you tell me we trade Beno, Noce, and a protected 1st for Salmons and Tyrus Thomas? Sounds good to me!

Personally I would care about that too much because Miller comes off the books this year and Salmons at worst next season and we could buy him out when its all said and done.

In the mean time we are getting rid of some bad contracts in Nocioni and Beno.

One thing that I am deadset against is giving up that first round pick unless it is HEAVILY, HEAVILY protected.

All I have to say about this is thank the lord that Salmons has been sent to Milwaukee.

If Salmons was to ever wear a Kings jersey again, I would boycott until the guy left town again. My personal most disliked hometown player ever, and thats by a large margin.

This is one of the most rediculous things ive ever read. Seriously.

We traded Salmons and Miller to acquire Nocioni, and now there is talks that were trading Nocioni to acquire Miller and Salmons? AND giving up a pick? for what? I rather have Beno on the books with his contract than Salmons. If we just give up K9 and Nocioni to get Miller than fine, whatever .. but if that rumor is true. Dammit it better not be true.

word :D

Hope a 2011 First Rounder isn't in play - should we suck again, that draft has potential to be AWESOME at the top with Harrison Barnes and Perry Jones, two near-locks for superstardom...

I am sorry but anyone who says they would rather have Beno on the books over Salmons just does not understand the landscape.

Beno has another another 3 seasons on the books after this one. Salmons only one. In the process you get rid of Nocioni who has another 2 years on his contract to run and get a big expiring in Miller and a young but troubled kid in Thomas.

We shed all of our bad contracts in one go. My only scepticism about this deal is that we are including our 1st round pick in this. Unless this pick is heavily protected, I am NOT interested.

We would have more cap space in the summer of 2010 and even more in 2011 until Salmons expires. Now if in the mean time you can send Salmons anywhere for an expiring deal, all the better.

how is this so ridiculous?

we would clearly buy out Miller, probably send Salmons to Milwakee for Kurt thomas's expiring(then buy him out)

we would basically be getting Tyrus Thomas for Beno,Noc,k9, and the protected first

I would do it depending on how "protected" the first is..

^^^ this

and guess what guys, Salmons is an EXPIRING next year..and EXPIRINGS have value...look at Kenny Thomas..

cause seriously Petrie is not that stupid, and some rumors get so redicilous

really? I actually llike this trade

Brad Miller(expiring this year, which r in high demand) and John Salmons(apparently good enough to get an exp for) traded for

Nocioni -- 3 years left, nobody wants to touch this guy with a 10 foot pole

Because everyone is clamoring for Kenny Thomas' in his expiring year.

I hope he gets traded, but I don't see this 'movable piece' going anywhere.

We are a bad team. We are going to be bad next year. Im not trading any picks just to get rid of Beno Udrih ( who has been good this year ) and Nocioni. PLUS we have to take back Salmons.

Unless there is more to this deal we dont know, no thanks.

Because obviously Salmosn wuoldn;t totally quash the developoment of our kids either. It would be idiotic. Anythign not involving clearing the way for Reke/Casspi/Greene is just dumb. Any impediments need to be removed. None should ever be imported.

And especially not those two. The public relations bath the franchsie would take in Sacto is not worth it alone.
