Worst Valentine's Date . . .ever

Mine was TONIGHT!!

This was not our first date. It was our 3rd and LAST!

1. Showed up half an hour late. Since the hurricanes, the traffic here is awful, so it's normal to be late from time to time, but you can call at least. I mean the guy has 3 cell phones!

2. NO FLOWERS, CANDY, CARD, etc. I don't ask for much, but is it too much to ask for one little flower on Valentine's day? Didn't think so.

3. he told me that we had reservations at a really nice place for dinner, but guess what. We show up THEN he tells me that he just remembered that he did NOT make reservations. Of course, EVERYTHING is booked. Genius says, "I'll cook." I think, ok I am NOT going to get mad. We can still have a good night. Then, he pulls into Wal-Mart - trys to send me in to get something for him to cook!!!!! Now, based on where he told me we were going, I LOOKED GOOD. I am NOT going to go waltzing though Wal-MArt in heels and cute dress to buy something for my date to cook last minute on Valentine's night. I guess he saw my expression and decided that we could order in.

4. We get to his house (why I went, I'll never know.) He orders pizza. I like pizza, but by this time, not really hungry anymore. Doesn't really matter to him, he is more interested in "dessert."

5. After dodging his 500 hands for a while, I suggest that it may be time for me to go. He apologizes and calms down for a while. We actually have normal conversation THEN he calls me by his ex's name. TWICE!!!

6. I tell him that he really needs to take me home. Genius can't figure out why I am not having a good time. He thinks kissing will make all things better. uh NO! Not gonna happen.

7. He takes me home. Before I can get out of the car, he grabs me and kisses me. NOT A GOOD KISSER TO BEGIN WITH and I am already mad so it was not smart move.

8. Smart guy then wants to know if he can come in so "we can have some real fun" - his words. (did I mention that it was just our 3rd date) Well, let's just say that he went home as unhappy as I was mad.

So that was my worst Valentine's date.
What was yours?

well it was ok.. not the best valentines ive ever had though...

started off by walking 20mins to my bustop to catchin a bus to seven hills train station at around 8:21am from there caught a train to parramatta station which was about 10 mins away...

at Parramatta bought a rose for my valentine along with the bear i already got previously by this time it was around 9:15 and the bus to near her house and the bus was meant to come at 9:21 but it came like 15 mins late and man was i angry...!

well i got on the bus took round and hour to get to her stop! but yes i eventually got there.. she told me there was not going to be anyone over her house but her brother was there and was yelling at her and soo when i got to her house i basically only saw her for hmm round 2 mins tops at her doorstep...

but i was able to give her the bear rose and letter for her and i got a cd with songs about our relationship so far, with a nice poem as a cover and sheet explaining why the songs remind her of us as well as a seperate letter from her letter from her about our freindship (as we are best friends)... soo after bascially seeing for just two minutes i was a little dissapointed but happy at the same time cuz of what she gave me and i still got to see her for abit... but when i read the letter as well as the sheet explaining about the songs on the cd she gave me it just made my day, and i gotta tell you it was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me... sooo i went home dissapointed i only got to see her for 2 mins or so but satisfied of what she gave me..

i got home at around 3:30 and she called me right after i finished listening to the cd she gave (which made me freakin even more happy) and it just made things even better as we talked for about 4 hrs about what we usually do talk about which is random stuff, and yeah she kept me happy as she always does ...

SO thats my Valentines day for 2006 :)

Why didn't she come over to your place??
lolz isnt the guy supposed to make the effort? its pretty hard to get to my place as well probably harder for her and she appreciates the effort i make just to see her (even for like a couple of minutes), by bringing me happiness...

lolz sounds cheesy but its true! :p

ohhh and her parents are pretty much strict as well as her her older brother as she is only 17 and im 18... she usually has to lie when she sees me (eg. saying she's just gong to the movies with a couple of friends instead of saying shes going to the movies with me)

Chelle: if you hadn't said this was the last date, I would have had to give you a virtual slap upside the head.;)

RayZ: Awwwww. That sounds so sweet. Its special that you are best friends, too. (Too bad she has to lie about seeing you, tho. You sound like a very nice, thoughtful young man.)

Valentine's Day is special to me, because its my son's birthday (28 today). I could not get hold of him on his phone, so I just ended up singing happy birthday to him on his voicemail, lol. My singing could rate as a cruel gift, tho. :p

My wife got 2 bigger gifts for Christmas and felt guilty about it so she said I don't have to get anything for her birthday (early february). Her birthday comes and I'm all happy because I'm all covered. Right? Wrong. I guess I was supposed to buy her a card at least. Needless to say she chewed me alive.

Well yesterday I made sure she has nothing to complain about. She got 3 cards. One from me for valetines, one of those funny "sorry I missed your birthday cards", one from our 3 1/2 month old. I also gave our dog a card. I didn't want him to get pissed off at me for not getting one :)

Worst Valentine's Day -- was the worst for reasons I can't discuss here.

Second worst Valentine's Day... probably a tie.

One year, I learned that my girlfriend was cheating on me when she sent flowers to me and to the other girl she was seeing and the cards got mixed up.

And, a couple of years ago, the guy I had been dating for about a month decided to propose to me very publicly in a restaraunt. He completely lost it and started crying/yelling/throwing things in said restaraunt when I very calmly and graciously told him that it was a little too early in the relationship to be talking marriage.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in like 4th grade .... I saved MY BEST VALENTINE CARD ( ... ya know, the one that gives a clue that you LIKE the person you're giving it to ... I'm sure ya'll know what I mean) .... for this girl named Nora Olivera (still remember her name) ..... I didn't get a card from her with the same DESIRES I had for her .... I was bummed.

... but this story does have a good ending .... we became sorta guy-n-girl FRIENDS .... used to go roller skating and when they had the boy pick a girl or girl pick a boy ... we did

My VERY FIRST crush on a girl :D

Wow. That's just your worse "Valentines" date? What's the worse overall date? This one should go down in the record books.

I actually had a pretty good Valentine's day. Been living with my girlfriend for three years now, and she knows my dislike for this Hallmark made holiday, so we've just decided to exchange gifts and keep it simple. I got a wonderful gift this year. A gift certificate to Mr. Beer (for those who don't know, its a home brewing kit for you to make your own beer) I was able to order three different beer kits and will be brewing them soon!!!! Can't wait to taste those suds. She recieved the new Britney Spears fantasy perfume set from myself.

Dang Chelle, sorry to hear of your Valentine's woah's. Hey, I think people put too much on the holiday, and I am a female.

My hubby and I don't really celebrate it. Our two birthdays and our Anniversary (the real date of love) is mixed in the middle of the Holiday season so you can imagine by the time 2/14 rolls around we are out of it. We pretty much do the cards and he gets me some pretty flowers but we don't do a to-do.

Not only that we never even dated during that time, we met in July and married in December. LOL, we just had our 10th and no end in sight. Okay, it's true - when you meet the one you love you just know.

I'll admit that we don't celebrate Valentine's Day, and that's more my choice than anything. We did get both boys something, but I've always been pretty adamant about not wanting anything for a day that is nothing more than a Hallmark holiday.

What's wrong with a Hallmark holiday?

a trip to wal mart on valentines day, what more could you ask for! geez, females these days ;)

chelle-that is pretty bad. What a jerk!
My worst valentine's was 10 years ago, I'm not going into the details but it involved a breakup, fire and trip to the hospital. I haven't celebrated since because of the awful memories.
This year was much better I got my tickets for the Kings game:D 16 days to go.

That is so fabulous. :D I lost an aunt and uncle last year. They were married for about 65 years. My aunt was in pretty poor health and when her husband died, she decided to stop eating. She wanted to be with him. (sniff) I loved them both so much. My favorite aunt and uncle.

YEP! He called the next day to ask, "so what are we doing this weekend?" Considering the fact that I was reared in the great state of South Carolina and taught to be a polite lady, I did not say what I was REALLY thinking, but when he hung up the phone, there was NO DOUBT that I was not going to be accepting any more calls from him!

I honestly have no idea how he even had the nerve to call me again. At least he got my name right this time:D !!!

Last year my Valentine's day almost turned out like yours. At first I was playing pool with some of the boys and I totally forgot about dinner until she called me and asked where and what time I wanted to meet her (no one picks their dates up since no one here drives and it would take forever to get around anyway), and obviously I pretended to be totally prepared and said to meet at our usual spot. So I of course totally panicked and left the pool hall with my buddies in tow. In the span of 15 minutes from the pool hall to our meeting place I managed to get a table at one of the best restaurants in town (I have connections around) and picked out a bracelet with a girl friend who was in the same area and had some of the boys help pick up some flowers I ordered over the phone for her, 12 long stemmed red roses, which lasted like 2 weeks, her mom thought it was a good sign that we'd stay together for a while (we broke up about a month later). So anyway, I met her and we had a pretty great time, well at least I did, or maybe I'm totally disillusioned like your date. ;) No date this year though, I was on a plane and I'm single anyway, I did get some happy Valentine's day phone calls from some single girl friends though, it's a pact we have amoung us single people. Maybe I'll take you out next year chelle. ;)

Chelle - You have my co-workers asking why I am sitting here cracking up... that was hillarious. Hopefully next year will be much better!
