I don't really find this thread to be depressing...I mean in those games we did lose...and by looking at our record you know that their were games in which we did lose...besides their is another thread highlighting the good wins...so really they cancel each other out...

Unacceptable from the coaches standpoint, the Maloofs standpoint, and the players standpoint. The same was as not trying in practice is unacceptable.
So if I understand correctly you're saying the performances were unacceptable. I still just have a basic conceptual problem with that term because what is the consequence of "unacceptable"?

I know - it's nit-picking but I have problems with making statements that cannot be backed up. It's like the old "If you do that again I'll ground you until you're 30" threat some parents used to make. You knew they wouldn't/couldn't ground you that long, so you discounted the seriousness of whatever you had done.

Unless you're going to give a consequence for not behaving in an acceptable manner, I don't think it's the right term to use.

I don't mind dredging it up the worst loss for me is not on this poll. The Heat game DEC 23rd. I have no idea why that one upset me the most. Every loss sucks.

Wow. I envy. Ever been to Staples? Sucks. Hated it. I'd probably rather watch a LA/Sac game at Arco for the smaller arena atmosphere. I miss the Forum. :(
Every once in a while, I'll see a movie on TV where the characters are at a Laker game when they were still at the Forum, and it suprises me how much smaller and cozier it was than Staples.

BTW - I did not see Lakers on the PO bracket.
Heh. That's great because I don't want to see any more of them for 6 months. ;) Afaic, the most righteous thing they did this season was "tanking the right way" (take that, Larry Brown). Boy, the Pups are schmucks. They almost assuredly get the 14th seed by intentionally testing the upper limits of their mediocrity.

Damn thing was an oval. Great view all the way up to the ceiling, and louder than you'd think. At least loud enough at times so you couldn't hear your own voice. Staples is a two-tiered airplane hangar with NO foot room. Those seats are hard on the knees and the jewels, and I'm only 6'0". The acoustics are so bad that the noise from the lower level and the upper level is distinctly separate. Hate it. Ugly. Corporate. Concrete. No intimacy. The saving grace for Staples is that you don't have to pass multiple Blood and Crip sets to get there like you had to in Inglewood.

Be thankful with what you got in Arco. If you get a mega arena, your feelings will be mixed. More creature comforts, less atmosphere. Bostonians could tell you that too. After all, why care about food courts and lux boxes when you're there to watch a frikkin game? Creature comforts are for trophy babes, not the fans they're attached to.

I've got an old game from 92 from the Forum. It's a weird Spurs broadcast without commercials, got it from some foreign trader. They were using something called the "Babeage Cam", scanning in on all the fine laydays. They'd show the babes during what were supposed to be commercials. One of the babes in the front row was a young Brooke Burke prior to the saline enhancements. Dayum! I'm not really a fan of hers, but she was 10x hotter back then. That's the level of unknown babe that was there on an average night after Magic retired. There still are a lot of babes to be seen, but usually they're on old Doc Letch's (I mean Buss') side.

Yeah..I try to go to a few Laker games each year. I did go to the Forum a few times too...got some free tickets once down on the floor once. Loved it. Stples certainly is no Forum, but I'll go to wherever the Lakers play and enjoy myself nonetheless.
