Wolves/Suns trade??

Apparently a deal is in the works that would send Al Jefferson and the 6th pick to Phoenix for Amare Stoudemire.

I don't see any reason for Minny to do this. Phoenix needs a shakeup, so I understand that. Amare has been in trade rumors for a while now, so this would certainly be a good deal for them. Not sure how well Jefferson could play in an uptempo offense tho

Jefferson, in my opinion, is a better player than Stoudemire, but I agree that he's a horrible fit for Phoenix's offense.

yea, I like Big Al a little better than Amare too.

Better rounded offensive game and neither of them play defense.

The only reason why I could see Minny doing this deal is if they know something we dont about Jeffersons knees.

that would be a steal for Phoenix, who knows how Amare will be with the eye/knee situation, he also has seemed to abandon his post game and become jumper happy lately

Yeah I agree with all that Jefferson is better than Amare. This would be HUGE for the Suns because let's not forget, they're getting the 6th here too. A move like this could immediately put them right back in the playoffs.

There is no way this happens. Why in gods name would Minnesota consider this trade? There is absolutely no incentive... It would be a horrible trade for them straight up Jefferson for Amare... but to add the #6 in their is ludicrous. Something tells me this trade is nothing but a farce.

When I saw this I was ??? Makes absolutely no sense. Why bother swapping those two players? And then for Minny to throw in the #6 as well??

They say Minny's new GM is trying to make a splash. Well that would amke a splash all right -- he could prove he is just as big of an idiot as the man he just fired (McHale).

So, it appears that one, the trade was suggested by the Suns and that two, the trade was declined almost immediately. Somewhat interesting that the Suns seem very interested in moving Stoudemire, but apart from that there does not seem to be much to see.
