[Game] Wolves @ Kings 4/2/12 - NO NCAA SPOILERS!

TWill appeared very humble/thankful in the interview. If he keeps this up, with the positive attitude it's a great pickup by Petrie.

can we just resign williams now lol?...

Gotta believe we'll have the huge edge -- a month of good work at the end of the season probably isn't going to swing anybody else's perceptions far enough if they are jsut watching from afar. Just hope we are serious about it, because we've had some talented problem guys come through here druing the tail end of previous years, and always seemed to let them go (McCants etc.). Maybe lockerroom stuff, who knows.

"Isiah Thomas with the steal to ice the game."

What, you don't notice Grant is more emphatic when talking about IT than anyone else? Same on his radio show. And he shouted out his stats after that as if IT was the reason we won. Hype machine is in full force and pretty obvious. IT did play well though and should have played more.

If Thornton has to miss the next game, we'll likely see the TWill & Reke at the wings lineup. It's good defensively, but light on 3pt range.

One of my worries is that Smart is playing Nellie ball D, which is all about creating the fast break. It's going for the steal, jumping the pass and slapping at the ball. This is bad for team defense and just encourages a bad habit for Cousins. It works best with two athletic wings, but when they miss their gambles then its a wide open shot for the other team. It also means if they don't get back after their gamble, you'll see the wings essentially guarding nobody in a non-zone situation. (See Reke and Thornton for most of the year.)

I was pleased with the fourth quarter defense. Just reinforces the notion Thornton should be coming off the bench behind IT/Reke.

Although subbing out Reke in the final four minutes was absolutely dumb. WTF Smart?

From sound of interview with TWill he seems to expect it. IT plug at the end by Grant was rather borish. The Hustling Huskie for can step aside just a bit - how about The Louisville Lightening!

Heard Grant today yell at anyone on his radio show who would dare mention that the Maloofs are sabotaging or weaseling out of the Arena deal. His bias is soo obvious.

It's because he's doing VERY well for a rookie, and not to mention the last pick in the draft. If the Kings waste their pick on a PE Jr again then IT goes undrafted. If It was in his second or third year playing like this then it wouldn't be a big deal. Not sure why people are hating on the IT fans so much here. He hasn't done anything wrong except take Evans PG spot.... But that CAN'T be the reason can it?

The hating word here has to be most overused and immature dig of all time. I don't think anyone here hates IT, they just have a different opinion - in this case about some over-hyping. As Bajaden said in another thread, hating someone should be reserved for Hitler - and I might add Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, and other scum of the earth mega mass murderers.

In my view it isn't an IT vs Tyreke issue. It has to do with having too many usable guards and not being willing to use them properly. Let's not create a fight where there isn't one.

I think everyone should be happy that in a weak draft with the number 60 pick we got someone who is helping us win.

I agree we have too many guards, but we didn't have enough small forwards that were good enough (until TWILL arrived) that could play consistent minutes. Evans was the best option to start with IT playing some decent PG. No fighting though, I hear ya. I think IT should be coming off the bench in the future, but right now he's the best we have at seeing the floor and distributing...

Let's hope though that we can see the next few games IT/REKE/TWILL/JT/DMC and see how that works out.

between Tyreke, Isaiah, Jimmer, Thornton, and now TWill? at least one of them will need to be traded eventually to bring better pieces in other areas. One of Isaiah or Thornton will have to go to the bench. Thornton should be the one imo. Isaiah brings intangibles and leadership that spark the team, you cant teach that stuff, also he is a ROOKIE in a lockout season. Jimmer and Isaiah will improve alot this summer. Once Jimmer gets his swagger back, he will be an x factor in every game.

Duh. I think it's just about giving credit where credit is due. Isaiah Thomas was not the main reason why we won this game, and so it seems a little dumb to be hyping him as opposed to talking about the game that Tyreke had, Jimmer having a good game etc. I think fans are annoyed that it's just all in line with the IT for ROY campaign, and takes the credit away from the guys who really deserve it. When Thomas has a really really good game and leads us to a win there'll be no issue whatsoever with pumping him up.

I doubt anyone is unhappy that we managed to find a good player in the draft, let alone with the last pick.
