What teams would you be referring to? We were 7-7 without Miller in the lineup, and only one of those wins came against a winning team. You think we beat Utah without Miller?... Brad Miller being back may not be the reason for our tailspin, but I think it certainly helped. We aren't beating the teams we beat without him anymore...
Rudderless would imply our biggest problem isn't that we aren't sinking faster than the Titanic.
And, I may be alone in this, I think Artest just did an Artest-like thing tonight. I think he chose NOT to play, not because of his knees ... but simply because he didn't want to. I'm actually scared.
Then to add onto my fear - I'm not sure who saw it, but SAR and Miller were jawing something serious. Then Miller looked like he was refusing to pass to SAR. SAR didn't give Miller the standard free throw clap or anything when Miller went to the line - instead he looked away. I didn't read that as a good sign.
Add to this - KT looked overly unimpressed while sitting on the bench.
I don't know if "scared" is the word I'd use, but I'm certainly a little concerned. Sore knees 20 minutes before the game when he had talked just a bit earlier with the TNT crew about how to stop Arenas? SOMETHING happened...

At least if we were sinking we'd be going in one direction.Right now I think "rudderless" is actually a pretty good term...

Was this before or after SAR lost it and got T'd up?
At this risk of sounding like I'm bashing - which I'm really not - how could you tell the difference?
What could've happen? he got pissed off? he's close to being traded? i'm sure there is alot to speculate on him.
Oh good grief.
If Artest were close to being traded - which he's not - the TEAM would hold him out of the game. He wouldn't go to the coach 20 minutes before game time and claim "sore knees."
My mistake, I was counting starts. What world were we 7-7 without Miller?
Regardless of competition my ***... overlook the strength of schedule if you want to, but it's been murder since he's been back: 3 out of 8 games against +.500 teams while he was out (1-2 in those games) versus 8 out of 13 games against +.500 teams since (1-7 in those games), plus three and-a-half sets of back-to-backs.5-3 by my count. Not great, but certainly better than the 3-10 since his return. Regardless of competition.
What you see as us having a chance I see as us utterly choking what should have been an insurmountable lead, none of which was done with Miller on the floor... We didn't show that we could compete, all we showed was that we can't hold a lead.Yes. I think we've got a chance. I think we proved it when we went into the 4th quarter against them up by 17 or whatever it was. We lost out, but we showed we can compete.
It would be a big slap if Ron decided to give up on this team, when he came here he gave alot of praise and he showed motivation to sign here after he becomes a FA. it will be a total blow-up if he's gonna move to the same pattern as he did with Indiana.
Boy things are getting ugly pretty fast.
