According to Grant on his radio show Bonzi was offered 38 mil according to the paper it was 36 mil. Now that may not be the amount Bonzi wanted, but it still shows me that the Kings wanted Bonzi to return.
Before we overvalue Bonzi I think we should take into account that it was his contract year and he averaged more rebounds a game than any other time in his career. His career average's around 5.2 rebounds a game and 13 pts a game. Decent to good depending on how he's being used. There is no garrantee that he would average 7 rebounds and 16 or 17 pts a game next year. I just think we have to keep a prespective on the big picture. Would I like to have him back? Yes, but only at the right price. Kobe, he is not....
