Will this team need a trade? (obviously needs a new coach)

I think we have seen that Westphal should be fired asap. But looking at our roster and the mentality of our core players, will we eventually have to trade one of Tyreke, Thornton or Jimmer?

I don't include Cousins because, you don't trade a potential great big man. There is no way this team will ever succeed if they play as selfish as they do right now. Can this be fixed with a better coach that disciplines the players? I just don't know if these guys really have tunnel visions, or if they do it because they don't trust their teammates and the "offensive system" they are running.

I don't think they need a trade as much as they need more clearly defined roles. If Jimmer the starting PG and Thornton was the 6th man offense off the bench i think it would work great.

I just think this roster is flawed, this is not how good teams are built lets take a look

Tyreke- Ball dominant player that doesn't have the vision to play pg, or the shooting ability to play sg
Thornton- Player who prefers isolation plays for himself, doesn't seem to play good off the ball on offense
Salmons- Basically an older version of Tyreke, with a better jumpshot, but not as good at driving to the rim
Cousins- Skilled post player, with good passing ability and offensive rebouding, however also is a black hole when on the block(will change with maturity hopefully)
Hayes- The only starter who doens't want the ball, Great defender
Jimmer- Is essentially Thornton with better ball handling and better court vision, more willing passer than any othe gaurd ( should be our starting pg)
Hickson- Active offensive rebounder, who also likes to get his touches in the post, feels obliged to put up shots because he works hard on the glass
Outlaw- Wouldn't be a bad reserve, if he could hit his shots
Thompson- Only player other than Hayes that is effective if no play is ran for him
Thomas- Quick gaurd who can penetrate at will but prefers to attempt to finish at the rim

Garcia, Greene, Honeycutt and Whiteside get a pass since they haven't played so far.

Could have fooled me. Reke at least improved his shot. Salmons is garbage. Even I don't shoot airball threes like Salmons when I play pick up games. He does it at least once a game.

I hope they rip the **** out of Ty-weak for his poor court vision. When it's a 3 on 1, you pass. The. Ball. Around.

It's too bad, i would almost consider building the team around Jimmer as PG, Hayes down low, Tyreke...somewhere if he can actually work with the ball movement. Cousins center...Thornton maybe 6th man off the bench BJax style, and then dump the rest and get team players.

i support the start Jimmer over Thornton, but Thornton will have none of it, trust me. The problem with starting Jimmer is that if you give him the ball, Tyreke becomes useless on offense, If Tyreke continues dominating the ball, your basically replacing a great 3 pt shooter in thornton, with another 3 pt option in Jimmer, but with worse defense. There are some real flaws in our gaurd rotation.

Tyreke looks scared to take a jumpshot, unless his game is really going, Salmons actually doesn't hesitate and at least hits some shots.

Jimmer is nowhere near ready to be starting, let alone at PG. His ball handling needs a lot of work.
