I came across this article/blog post in the Bee yesterday by Sam Amick, and figured Id share it ..

My favorite part :
"It meant a lot to me. I'm coming from a different country, coming to a new culture, and to see a guy like him. … He said, 'People might think we're competing for the same (position), but … I'm going to really keep supporting you. He did that day. He still is." - Omri Casspi

The biggest thing is Garcia going above and beyond what is required of him as a teammate to help a young guy who is trying to take his minutes. This doesnt happen in the NBA.

On the floor, he is a top sixth man with his energy, toughness, versatility, and shooting ability. He can come off the bench or start, and he is the one guy that I actually believe when they say it doesnt matter to them because it has no effect on how he performs.

Off the court, he is helping our young guys. Getting them comfortable and helping in practice .. even when hes injured.

Im not saying we cant trade him, or anything like that. Im just saying that he is important to us. He is the leader ( my opinion ) of this team at the moment, and thats got to count for something ...

Cisco also wants to travel to every road game with the team, too. He might change his mind when he gets the cast off and can actually start rehab, becasue he can do better more/rehab in Sacramento, but I like his deisre to be as much of the team as he can be, including helping out "his" rookie.

One of the best things I like about Cisco is his wanting to take the big shot in critical situations. He believes he can make it and usually does. His helping rookie Omri in anyway he can as an injured but involved veteran - all the more positive.

I like that he is from NYC, because players who grew up there have a certain swag. He has that willingness to shoot, but his best attribute is his Brockman like work ethic on the court. He plays very tough and hard, and that rubs off on the other players or they look bad. He basically doesn't have the tools to be an allstar or even close, but you could not tell that by watching him play.
