I am so phyched!

It's unfortunate about Barry Bonds, I know, but I think that Pedro Feliz will fill in respectivley until Bonds makes his triumphant return at the All-Star Game (Fan voted). He will then go on to crush Ruth's 714 and lead the Giants to the promised land!

It's going to be a great year!

As some know, Bond's trainer Greg Anderson is also my trainer and he is currently rehabing Bond' knee since the original people messed it up, and thats why he had a second surgery. Anyways... I was talking to him about Bond' return and he said it could be and most likely will be as short as 6 weeks barring any injury during rehab. So with all the talk about Bonds being out half a season or the whole season this makes me feel a lot better about our chances.

Im not ready for baseball. This steriod mess has me a bit soured right now. Plus seems as though the Giants dont seem to care about winning much considering most of our team could play on most Senior leagues...Wheres the freakin youth?!

Oppening day is soon (next week I think) and I cant wait. Cant wait to see how this new lineup and how our pitchers do this year. Go GIANTS!
I watched the game last night and they looked pretty good. Obviously with their "Mature" lineup, injuries will be an issue, but the pitching looks solid and they will make very few errors. I'll be at PAC BELL (sorry I refuse to call it SBC) tonight with my brats. I'm really looking forward to a great season!
The only thing better than a win at Pac Bell is the TWolves getting their ASSES kicked at ARCO! :)

Well, as long as you understand that the Dodgers are going to win another NL West title, rooting for the Giants is A-OK in my book. :p

Barroid Bonds SUCKS and has done his best to single-handedly ruin baseball. I can't respect anything that he is involved with.
Care to explain how anything he has done has "ruined" baseball. Sounds like someone who doesnt know the facts.

oh man that DP was freaking HOT. i saw that, and i was like, did he just do that. they played it again on the scoreboard ( i was at the game !!!!) and man, that was just AWESOME. i haven't seen a giants SS with a throw like that in a long time.

that pick JT had to end the game was even hotter. oh man what a play that was. then again, he makes that play in his sleep. choi let a ball get away from him for an infield hit.... i forget who it was who got it. i saw that, i told my friend ( a dodger fan) JT makes that play in his sleep and grinned at him :D

Are you kidding me??? I'm not wasting keystrokes on explaining any further than this- he cheated and lied about it. You sound like someone who doesn't care to listen to the facts.

The facts:

Bonds has NEVER been caught with steriods pumping through his body and has passed every steriod test he's taken.

Bonds never admitted to using steriods.

If you have any facts to despute this, I'd love to hear them. Just because most people think he took steriods, doesn't make it a fact. Most people used to believe the world was square.

You can hate Barry for thinking he took steriods without any evidence, I know I still think Kobe raped that girl, but you can't call your opinion fact without any evidence.

Bonds admitted during grand jury testimony that he used "the clear" and "the cream" believing they were legal "nutritional" supplements. Victor Conte(BALCO founder) in his testimony identified "the clear" as THG a designer steroid used to avoid detection. Also, "the cream" was identified as a testosterone based ointment.

So, essentially Bonds admitted taking steroids but denied knowing the substances were steroids. I guess each person has to decide what they believe.

No Bonds admitted to using substances that were clear and cream. Hard to do with the rarity of products that carry such desriptions. I just used a the clear and cream yesterday, when I applied some neosporin and icy-hot. Assuming that he was speaking of steriods is not a fact, it's speculation.

The substances Bonds described as "the clear" and "the cream" were also described by other athletes as "flaxseed" oil contained in "flaxseed" oil bottles similar to Bonds description. Tim Montgomery(sprinter who tested positive) admitted those substances(Clear&Cream) were steroids coming from BALCO. Balco owner Conte admits in testimony to giving steroids, "the cream" and "the clear" to Bonds trainer Anderson.

I personally don't care. But, I think it's reasonable based on all the know "facts" to believe Bonds used steroids. I don't even think he would argue that, he would just tell you that he didn't know they were steroids.

Bonds did not cheat. Its only cheating if you know your breaking the rules. His trainer cheated and lied to Barry. Can you tell me how that makes Bonds a cheater? He did not know what he was using. Whether you believe him or not, that is your opinion and you have no evidence at all to support your argument, therefor I wouldnt try and argue.

Many people are Bonds bashers anyways because they listen to the media say he is a jerk, etc. Do you personally know him? He is one of the coolest guys in the world and I guarantee you would love him if you got to know him. He unknowingly used steroids and was cheated and lied to by his best friend. That does not have anything to due with Bonds and his credebility.

He is the best baseball player to ever play the game and untill you can prove he cheated knowingly it will stay that way. The year he was cheated was 2003 I believe, one of his less productive years of his mvp seasons but obviously still a great season. Last year in 2004 it was a fact that he was not on steroids with all the cameras and testing for him. He wouldnt have dared to touch them last year and he was by far the best player last year accumulating those kind of stats after being walked over 200 times. Had he been walked and treated normally he would have or could have hit 70-80 homeruns.

You can make an argument about how he used steroids during the 2003 season all you want but from what we know and untill there is evidence to prove us wrong, he used them unknowingly. Subtract that season from his career and he is still by far the best to ever play. Steroids dont make you better, they just make you stronger. They dont help eye-hand cordination, which he is the best at or your bat speed. They dont help your knowledge of the game and help you steal bases better. I think you need to get your facts straight before you accuse someone of something you know nothing of.

No, it's still cheating. You can't drive 90 MPH if you don't know the speed limit and have it be okay.

This is an interesting conversation. JSin, driving 90 miles per hour might be "breaking the law" but that is different than "cheating." How would you explain the difference in the two?

BTW - good to see you J. It's been too long.
