Who will play the Power Forward???

Songaila??? Skinner??? Thomas??? come on petrie... these guys are decent backups and will get torn apart by Duncan, KG, Nowitzki, Brand in the western conference... why the heck would you not get Dalembert in this trade??? and no back up point guard help???... the kings would have been better off trading webb to the knicks for kurt thomas and change... last year the kings had vlade and miller... now vlade's gone...

Maybe the kings will move Miller to power forward and start Ostertag in the center position... that way they get someone to clog the middle and get some rebounds and play defense... but they will be giving up alot of offense... maybe petrie figures with no dominant center in the western conference anymore, he can move miller to power forward and start Ostertag... giving us a lineup of...

maybe petrie felt that miller's best position is power forward and wanted to move him back there... ostertag will probably get more PT at center now... hopefully the kings will get more of a defensive presence in the middle now...
 
Well since Adelman has compleetly forgotten that Tag is even no the squad, I suspect he will start Darius and Miller but who the heck knows, mayhbe Kenny Thomas will surprise us.
 
I think Thomas will get the nod. The guy is Marion esque, no not Marion quality, but with the Suns this season I think the rule book has been thrown out the window.
 
I would just assume see Miller/Tag start myself, but that's not how it will go down with Rick coaching. Thomas is the best of the crap we have stacked at PF now, but it will take him some time to get into the system, so I assume Darius in the interim.

Brings up a good point. OTag is a great defensive rebounding center. I would love to see Miller at the 4 and Tag get the start at 5.
 
Darius will get the nod first due to his experience with the starters, unless Thomas proves hes worthy enough.
 
Darius has done well starting for us at the 4, so I certainly wouldn't mind seeing him do so in the future. He's young, and with enough playingtime he can develop into something pretty good.

Well the long run is with Kenny. Sure he'll have to learn the system but he'll be the man I think.

I like darius at the 4 and miller at the 5. But seeing 'tag fat out other players for rebounds and improve our toughness would be a welcomed change as well.

You're assuming Peja will even be able to play. Tag and Skinner at center? ...sigh... First round and out, if we're incredibly lucky.
 
Brick and STC, you guys are dead on that a Tag Miller combo could be good, but like I said Adelman has forgotten Tag exists.

Well its funny with all the lip service involving the Kings. They got Tag to do the things the Kings were weak at and at least three of us know he hasn't been utlilzed very well. Once and for all I will say it: Greg Ostertag is a starter quality center!!!! Does he score? Heck NO!!! Does he rebound and defend the paint? heck YES!!! Do we have enough offense, even without Webb? YES!!! Greg has had some shakey games but a lot of that can be attributed to the playing time. He has never gotten the game time to redeem his mistakes. Hopefully Adelman won't find a way to not play the guys we got today.
 
We have enough offense with Tag YES, only if Peja steps up, and does what he did lat year when he was the man. Totally agree about Songalia though. Start him, and when Thomas is ready, bring him in.
 
With our high post offense it'll have to be Brad on top (where he can also can the 15' jumper if left open) with Tag/Thomas down low to work the inside and be in position to rebound. This used to be Webber's job (and Vlade's before that) since he was our best passer but he often held the ball too long and forced jumpers when he found himself up against the shot clock and if he handed of to an outside man his pick was soft since he was trying to protect his knee. When Brad goes out though we'll see more creativity and I hope that doesn't mean one on one plays. We have to get back to moving the ball briskly from side to side.

God...time to throw some manure on the ol court cuz heeeere comes the Tag/Miller starting duo. Yeeeehaawww!!! ;)

Ill pass on that one, just do Songalia/Miller and hope that we can keep up with the top 5 teams. in the West.

Huh? I would say that he jsut got most of his minutes taken. Strictly a backup OG now. Which also, coincidentalyl means no more minutes for Martin.
 
i also think that this trade is going to give evans more mins. at least in the beginning and i have a feeling that if he impresses adelman enough that he will win him over. I think mo is an excellent young talent that has the ability to play with the best of them if given the chance.

As for the power forward postion tonight, most likely darius, which i think is good, he has been almost perfect from the outside when he is open. As long as he doesn't try to do too much, i think he will be okay. But when thomas gets here and starts getiing into the feel of things, adelman will almost be forced to start him, Thomas isn't bad...but he's not great either. Hopefully we can keep going okay on this road trip and it doesn't drag us down too much.
 
looking at the roster, our team looks to have taken a step back. Loosing doug, web and vlade seems to have left our roster looking depleted.

Well, the so called beginning of last season when Peja was doing so well was largely due to Vlade and DC assists. Soooooo, I have no clue why Petrie thinks Peja can become that which he was without that supporting cast. No clue.
 
this is gonna be o so interesting to find out

i mean none of us has got a clue...it could be any of those combos

i for one think as for TONIGHT...Brad slides down to PF...GO is in at Center...Brads gonna be playing so HU-MUNGO minutes tonight...obviously Darius will get a minutes upgrade tonight as well...Brad is gonna be running tonight for sure
 
miller should be the PF... he was extremely good last season... hopefully we get the TAG in for rebounds and clogging the lane...
 
once skinner and thomas start playing we could be cool with miller at pf.... tag, skinner and thomas... thats a lot of hard fouls....
 
I would like to see Tag start at center, and move brad to PF. Kings need to defend the paint better, so hopefully RA will start tag.
 
Yeah, it will be intersting to see the line-ups when they play.

RA might switch them up a bit in the future to see which line-up is better.
