I'm laying odds based on most likely available talent at #10:

Thornton - 7-5
Wright B. - 3-1
Brewer - 4-1
Noah - 5-1
Smith J. - 6-1
Hawes - 6-1
Yi - 7-1
Green - 7-1

Don't we already have like a gazillion threads on this??? And a poll? ;)

I think you may be right on the poll buried somewhere from some time ago. Plus, most Kings fans are saying who they want, not who they actually think the organization will be left with to pick at #10.

I think Geoff wants B. Wright/Yi/Noah. If anyone of those three is available, that is who we will take.

I don't think he takes Hawes. Even if Hawes is available (which I think he might not be), I can't see Geoff drafting him. Brad is going no where anytime soon, the contract is too big. There is no way you could play Brad and Hawes next to each other. I think we pass on Hawes if he is there.

So if none of the power forwards are there, I think we pass on J. Wright and Thorton as well. Even if we did more Ron, we still have Cisco and Salmons. A SF would be mired in a logjam with at least 2-3 other guys who we already like.

So if none of the PFs are there- I think we surpise people and go with Smith. Or we REALLY surpise people and go with Koponen. I know Koponen is a stretch, but it would be 1996 all over (taking the Euro you really want 15 spots ahead of where conventional wisdom suggests taking him). Basically taking the potential awesome prospect over future NBA 6th men with college pedigree...

So- Wright/Yi/Noah if available
If not- Smithor Koponen- you heard it here first...

Okay, this is obviously going to be completely duplicative of a number of threads we already have going...

For that reason, I'm closing it.
