Who is coaching summer league???

Since we have no assistants yet? Anyone know? Is Theus coaching or maybe Jason Hamm the one assistant he kept from Mussleman's staff?? Or they going to make like Cisco player/coach or something lol?

I don't think they know whats going on with the coaching staff. I guess Theus and Hamm are going to do all the work from now until they get a staff. Its stupid.

Yeah, Theus or Hamm I guess -- I raised this question a week ago, but for whatever reason nothing happened. Figure we took three months to hire a new head coach, then took three weeks after that just to get around to firing the Muss crew...we'll be lucky if we've hired a full crew by training camp.

Given all of reg's Vegas ties, not to mention his extreme rookiness, would not be shocked if its him (also given Hamm's low man on the totem poleness).

Brief note BTW: apparently we have interviewed Bob Weiss as the resident failed coach/wise old head (former Spurs, Hawks, Clippers and Sonics coach, career record about 220-300). And this morning in the Philly Inquirer it mentioned that we have also interviewed Chris Ford for the same position presumably (career record 323-376 with the Celtics, Bucks, Clippers and 76ers).

Expect to see Coach Reggie leading the summer league team. It will be good experience for him in any case. Byron Scott did the same when he became the New Orleans head coach. But as to who else, anybodies guess.

The mere fact that there is going to BE a Bob Weiss or Chris Ford makes this year's coaching situation already so much better than last year, IMO. Musselman was scared of being shown up, looks like Reggie isn't worried about having a guy on his staff who knows more than he does.
