I really like the Blazers draft. This is just the type of thing you do to get your fan base excited for next season. Throw everything around and see what happens. I also like the Celts decisions. They got two quality point guards via trades (Rondo, Telfair) and they unloaded Raef LaFrentz. Anytime they can do that, Larry Bird rolls over in his grave. I know, I make no sense.

No, I liked what those two franchises did as well. Very aggressive. Kind of nutty aggressive in Portland, but still stocked up on young talent.

i think memphis had the best draft night, but more through jerry west's fleecing of the houston rockets than anything else. with the 24th pick, they took kyle lowry--likely a steal at that draft position. and they grabbed the 8th pick from houston, which meant the rights to rudy gay, for shane battier. they also took back stromile swift in that trade. stro, while overrated, can be a solid roleplayer on the grizzlies once again.

i just can't believe houston traded the rights to gay for battier. gay has the potential to be a star in this league, while battier has certainly topped out and will likely never be much more than a versatile and hard-working role player.

portland or memphis...

portland got alot of good players.... ser rod and james white are really good prospects...... not to mention aldridge and roy

Portland had the best draft IMO. Roy and Aldridge is a ton of talent. They got Rodriguez and Joel Freeland who can play overseas while they get better. If they move Miles and Randolph for something decent and re-sign Pryzbilla they won't be that bad IMO. I actually don't mind the Lafrentz/Ratliff swap if I'm the blazers either. Lafrentz only has one more year on his contract, plays more games, is 3 years younger, and he brings some outside shooting which the blazers need. I don't think their D will be too bad as long as they re-sign Joel and trade Randolph.

I like NJ's draft because Marcus Williams can learn from JKidd. The guy is a top 10 talent and they got him with the 22nd pick. Kidd can teach him how to be better at everything and he'll probably get him to work harder. I like Hassan Adams too. They got him with what, the 50th pick? I think he'll be a decent role player. Boone can be a decent shotblocker and defender for them but I doubt he'll have much impact.

The Rockets got KILLED. I mean come on, Gay for Battier? Gay has the potential to be a 20-5-5 with good defense type of guy while Battier is a roleplayer that will give you 10-5-4 with decent defense. Gay could've been insurance for TMac's back too. I mean I honestly think TMac will miss around 10 games next year, Gay could replace some of that scoring with Yao. When Tracy misses a couple games you are telling me Battier will replace his scoring? Hell no. Stro isn't that good but now their only PF is JUWAN HOWARD. I have no idea what they were thinking.

Grizz might have found that 2nd option for Pau... Not only that but Lowry has a lot of potential too. He's fast and he's a good defender. Fratello will love coaching him. Then they get Stro back who can defend, rebound, and block shots. They really just murdered the Rockets in this trade.

i thought chicago did good, picked up the best guy in Thomas and got Khryapa from portland (which was weird to me because i thought they let go of Monya to make space for him). then traded for Thabo Sefolosha, who looks like a Garcia type player. all in all guys they'll be able to use .
