Unfortunately, 15 games is too many games.
RA is just plugging away with the same ol' same ol'. You've got to adapt and change to your personell. You've got to get the most out of ALL your talent.
Right now, Reef (and this may be all on Reef) is being underutilized. This is a guy that can really school people on the block and isn't afraid to find the open man from that position. He's getting 0 - 3 touches in that location per game. He's getting no rythm. He's also leading our team in FG% but has the fewest amount of attempts per game.
PPG ..........FGA ..........FG% .......... PLAYER
15.3..........11.0 ..........56% .......... Reef
15.5..........13.5 ..........42% .......... Bibby
13.5.......... 9.8 ..........48% .......... Miller
21.5..........15.0 ..........47%.......... Peja
12.4..........11.9..........43%..........Wells
This shows an inefficient utilization of player talent. Peja is starting to get better looks, but there is no reason for Bibby and Bonzi to be jacking up so many shots per game.
Miller is being utilized too much right now at the top of the key. EVERY play starts with him touching the ball. If nothing transpires, we waste 10 seconds of the clock doing nothing. This happens - a lot. We need to mix it up and let players play instead of forcing this system 100% of the time.
I've seen some slight changes, but not enough to warrant a cheer. This team goes through spurts ... just as any jump shooting team is going to. The problem is that if our jump shots don't fall - we don't seem to have a backup plan.
