Base on what people have said prior to the preseason game, I was motivated to believe that we have a very good bench. However after seeing them performed, I now only have doubt.

EVERYTHING at the present...give it another 15 games of adjustments and stuff

Oh, you mean 15 more losses before we realize that we must fire RA? Or waive the whole bench except for KT, BK and FG? Oh and add Ronnie Price in the exception.

Unfortunately, 15 games is too many games.

RA is just plugging away with the same ol' same ol'. You've got to adapt and change to your personell. You've got to get the most out of ALL your talent.

Right now, Reef (and this may be all on Reef) is being underutilized. This is a guy that can really school people on the block and isn't afraid to find the open man from that position. He's getting 0 - 3 touches in that location per game. He's getting no rythm. He's also leading our team in FG% but has the fewest amount of attempts per game.

PPG ..........FGA ..........FG% .......... PLAYER
15.3..........11.0 ..........56% .......... Reef
15.5..........13.5 ..........42% .......... Bibby
13.5.......... 9.8 ..........48% .......... Miller
21.5..........15.0 ..........47%.......... Peja
12.4..........11.9..........43%..........Wells

This shows an inefficient utilization of player talent. Peja is starting to get better looks, but there is no reason for Bibby and Bonzi to be jacking up so many shots per game.

Miller is being utilized too much right now at the top of the key. EVERY play starts with him touching the ball. If nothing transpires, we waste 10 seconds of the clock doing nothing. This happens - a lot. We need to mix it up and let players play instead of forcing this system 100% of the time.

I've seen some slight changes, but not enough to warrant a cheer. This team goes through spurts ... just as any jump shooting team is going to. The problem is that if our jump shots don't fall - we don't seem to have a backup plan.

In my opinion, the starters are coming around, the chemistry is good, and rebounding and effort have improved considerably as the season has progressed. But the bench - oh my... God help us.

Ditto. But not quite that bad for bench....... yet. Kevin needs time. Kenny is becoming much better off bench. Hart is really good 80-90% of the time. But we need outside scoring and 3's.

the frickin bench. horrible. i think i am becoming less and less impressed with our bunch of guys who are not in the starting 5. particularly kevin, hart and cisco. what dissapointing performances thus far.

I think something is wrong with the percentages on this poll...

But anyway, right now, our bench seems to be a big problem.

I don't have any stats to use but it seems to me that our defense, both half court and transition is better but still not great..still need a shotblocker. Our rebounding is better with Bonzi and Sharif (and even Peja) but they still get outrebounded by bigger guys at critical moments. Turnovers killed us vs Seattle and a big part of that was trying too much to be unselfish, passing to someone right on top of them. Familiarity/role definition will diminish that number. With Peja and Mike hitting shots it's opened up the offense more for backcuts which we used extremely well in Seattle. The biggest test is tonight vs San Antonio. Probably our biggest Achiles heel is our lack of bench production...need a scorer coming off the bench and KT isn't it.

It's a multiple-choice poll, so the percentages reflect that.
