Where is the heart?

I really don't care about winning and losing but playing without any heart is just unfair to the fans. I know it's just one game but it's just embarrassing. This is just a continuation of the pre-season.

32/15/5... I am so glad we don't have him out there slowing down the offense and just making us look bad.

And what is phillys record?? 0-1 the same as the kings.

The kings lost big deal. they only got to the town a few hours before the game, did not get a normal warm up and they shot like crap!

Kings played a bad game but it is only 1 loss the season is not even close to being done, even charles barkley the eternal kings hater still predicts the kings winnning the pacific!

I don't get it.

ANYWAY. . .

I think our heart is actually in Dallas and Philly. I was hoping that we could find a new one. We still can.

Aside from a little much-needed venting, I think this is the rational approach. Maybe the Kings can turn things around tomorrow.

Thing is, this team is still very clearly trying to figure out it's identity and how to play with one another. It's not like years past when the team could get bored from time to time and lose a game like this because they knew how to play with each other and could turn it on and/or bounce back if properly motivated.

I'm worried it'll take us too long to figure that out with this squad.

Tomorrow's game will be _very_ interesting.

1) I am sad that we lost.
2) I do not like the way we lost.
3) I do not expect it to happen again.
4) I am looking forward to tomorrow's game.
5) This is my team and I love it! I am frustrated by them at the moment, but I STILL LOVE THIS TEAM.

i can handle loosing, but i can't handle playing with no fire or effort. i didn't see the game, but it's sounding like they didn't play with any effort based on the game threads.

win or lose, just play like you mean it. thats all i want.

that's my problem too. I was already discouraged about the game, but when I heard that the players were laughing on the sidelines I just about hit the roof. Where's the pride? Where's the desire? Yeah, I guess the title of this thread (where's the heart?) just about covers it. I think I'm just going to pretend that RA forgot to tell them that the preseason is over & hope that we see a whole need attitude tomorrow night! We'd better, or it's going to be UGLY...

The kings played hard in spurts and the defense actually was looking a bit better for a while. but when adelman put in the new bench mob they went behind and could not come back tonigh.
NO ONE on the kings could hit the broad side of a barn tonight. The kings just looked very slugish in the game, I would not say lack of heart, because you cannot make every open jumper.

Agree!!

Also, not that I pay much attention to Barkley, but I figured he would bask them after the game so I spared myself more heartache and did not listen. What did he say?

missing shots doesn't indicate lack of heart, because there are going to be off nights. But laughing on the sidelines while you're down 20 something points to a horrible team??? That, to me, shows a lack of something!

Absolutely.

I didn't expect a definite win. I know the Hornets are an a young, athletic, improved team, and have 19,000 wild fans feeding off a bunch of stuff. Hell, pre-season or not, the Rockets blew a 22-point lead against them in late 3rd/4th quarter.

At least SAR was good, and Peja wasn't that off (overall).

Obviously this was quite an ugly game, but I'm not getting rattled over it.

Does anyone know why they were laughing? So your saying that if you see something funny or hear something funny if you are losing a game it is not ok to laugh? Honestly no one knows what was going on with them and who really cares sometimes it is good to laugh because that is what all of there shots were tonight was laughable!

It shows a lack of panic mode when you have a bad game. Do you think the Kings are going to shoot 30% again this season? I'd be surprised. Its not the end of the world, and really we got beat so badly that it IS kind of funny.

Heart is in Philly, Memphis, and Dallas

I'm not going to blow one loss out of proportion, but sadly this is true. And the sooner the Kings realize it, the sooner they can start developing some heart of their own.

This is not the old Kings. Someone needs to step up and bring some fire to this team.

Which leaves us fairly dead I assume

its only game 1 and yall are sweating.... calm down yall... we are gonna be alright!

The laughing on the sidelines doesn't bother me as much as the complete lack of pride ON the court. They should have been embarrassed to even come back out on the court for the second half. That was about as abysmal a performance by a Kings team I can ever remember seeing - and I've seen some pretty pathetic games in 20+ years as a Kings fan.

And it may be only one game, but it's a pretty good indication of just how far this team is going to have to go if they plan on doing anything related to basketball after mid-April.

Totally agree w/ u. This is our team and we love it. I mean its 1 game. 1 out of the 82. We can still win 81..........

coming into this game i was actually feeling that i wouldn't feel so bad if NO won the game, just because of all they have been through and also this being the first NBA game in Oklahoma City and such.

But there is a difference between losing and not trying.

It's 1 game people, relax. If they lose 10 games in a row like this, I'll ask where their heart is, but for now I am hoping for a better showing tomorrow.
