Whats your biggest fear?

really am i the only one that is just giddy about Martin and Garcia. I mean i see these 2 being an elite combo in a few years. At best Jordan Pippen but better than Pippen. As a bonus they are learing defense from Ron hows that for an all around game.

Are you crazy? I'm optimistic and like what I see from these 2 guys, but Jordan and Pippen. Are you kidding me? Jordon is arguably the single best player to ever lace up his shoes and walk onto the NBA court. You don't just throw that name or that tandem around in comparison to just anybody. Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade these are players that are on a court to being able to be compared to Michael Jordan. Kobe is the closest comparison to Jordan at this point. But, the closest copy is still just a copy.

Dude, I don't know what you're talking about. Martin and Garcia are totally better than Jordan and Pippen.

P.S. I'm Chuck Norris.

My biggest fear is that the Kings will re-sign Adelman....

amen to that.... the only reason we re sign him is if ron likes him... other than that he is garbage. he has never been a coach to get it done.

he has never been a good coach in my opinion. made poor decisions in key situations in the playoffs. i remmber game 4 2002 v. lakers. he let thm go like 12 points wihtout calling a time out... stuff like that. and so ya i dot want anohter coach with no experince. but i want ron happy

Good point. Before entering a battle, one should always consider the armament or lack thereof of the potential opponent.

umm dude. the man has been to the nba finals twice. he has brought this team to the playoffs every year he has been here. how many other coaches can say that? jeez give him a break. hes not the guy who is supposed to put passion in his players. and this is my 77th. thats my lucky number. so hopefully the kings win tommorow.

Ohhhhhhhhh. Big deal. You remember ONE game when he didn't call a time out when you thought he should?

Poor decisions in key situations? What a copout. You don't "want another coach with no experience?" Good lord. That has to be close to the most ridiculous comment I've ever seen posted on this board...including before the crash and recreation.

You're more than entitled to your opinion. Such as it is. Remind me not to engage in further discussion with unarmed opponents.

it doesnt take passion to call a time out when another team is on a big run. r to enforce a defensive attiude. he was asked once if his team will start working harder on d... he said no. cant win without d

and for you moderator lady... if ur refering to me and my knowlage... i wold love to talk to u 1v1 about kings knowlage over the past few seasons... i know as much as nyone so dont question my knowlage

heheheheh. Whatever.

Back up your vague comments with some actual REAL discussion. Vague references to "he was asked once" doesn't cut it around here. In case you haven't noticed, this is a board filled with fans who are very passionate about their team and basketball in general.

You, on the other hand, haven't shown much yet. Just sit down there next to Jason Hart. We'll call you if we need you.

i am very happy with the team right now. but is it going to win a championship... i dont think it will. i thnk we a few steps away. and i think adlemen has spent enough time here. unless of course ron wants him and likes him.

The topic for discussion is our biggest fear about the team. As far as knowledge of the Kings and the NBA, don't be biting off more than you can chew, youngster.

Let's get back on topic. You think Adelman is garbage. That is your stated opinion. Cool. That pretty much leaves me speechless.

lol youngster? how old r u... im 20, so i suppose that is young. but i am responing to a post about someone else who agrees with me on adleman... his worst fear is re signing him lol so yell at him to lol... i love the kings... i am the biggest fan. a fanatic. i am aways optimistic but realwith my team. i see a bright future, but no championship til we have d down low... and a coach that gets it done in crunch time. if adleman can be that person... than i give him the benifit but i just dont think he can... lets talk fears then... i fear ron leaving in 2 years... anyone hear any commens out of ron sayin how much he likes sac? i havnt heard anything since he called it a blessing

You're 20? I've been watching the Kings longer than you've been alive. And I've been an active NBA fan since 1964. So, based on that alone, I think I can call you "youngster."

;)

Seriously, you just haven't been through enough BAD coaches for the Kings to appreciate how good Adelman really is.

As far as Ron talking about how much he likes Sacramento, I don't think he's thinking about that right now. He's thinking about doing his job, and thank the gods of basketball he is.

Well you might have a lot of knowlage(whatever that is), but it doesn't seem like you have a lot of knowledge....

On topic: I'm not sure, probably not making the playoffs.

I'm used to this, unfortunately:( HAHA! (and getting it rubbed in my face after the fact EVERY damn time by LA 'fans', and I'm not even a sh*t talker, either*L*) Oh well, life sucks sometimes.

Wow, VF...THAT was gospel!! :) And I second that, about not living through enough bad coaches...or ANY bad coaches, for those in the younger generation that weren't cognative back when Bill Russell(yeah umm...THANKS Bill!),Dick Motta(OUCH!! THESE years werent pretty, AT ALL!!), Rex Hughes, Garry St Jean(wasnt the worst, just wasnt the best, either, but loved the 'PMA'), Herman Kull, Jerry Reynolds(still got love for ya though:D). I LIVED this nightmare for 14 seasons before Adelman came aboard. Hopefully, just maybe, we can keep him...with some luck.

Sorry there, VF, I gotchu beat... I've been following the NBA since 1871, when our once-again united nation, desperate to escape the traumatic effects of the civil war, formed the recreational league we now know as the NBA.

There was no selfish play, no contract disputes... players just played for the love of the game...

Ahhh... those were the golden days...

I know what you're thinking. No, the NBA did not start in 1946. That was the first game on record. The NBA claims not to have been formed until this date, but those of us who've lived long enough know that this was all just part of a huge cover-up of many "American" things after the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.

It's true. I was there. :D

My choice would be the BIG-O .. Oscar Robertson, but - that's another thread ;)

... AND I WAS THERE, not literally, but if the game was on TV, I was right there in front of the tube watching !!!

VF - I think the proper version of the saying is: "I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person." ;)

I'm going to be 35 in a couple months - I, like many others here, have lived through the Dark Years of the Kings and think Adleman has been a godsend. This isn't NBA live, this is pro sports. Every coach is going to make mistakes - they're human. Weigh the good against the bad and see if they are worth keeping. In my view, he is.

And my biggest fear? Eh, in pro sports there is nothing to fear. It's entertainment. I'm a fan, but a realist. :)

^^And why would you think that would happen? Unlike a FEW people around here, most players and coaches in the NBA have a great deal of respect for Rick Adelman.
