they just keep winning & are starting to roll. the kings are 3 back as of this morning. if the kings dont shape up, they'll stay at the bottom of the ladder & continue looking up. maybe an artest trade for them will screw with their momentum

An Artest trade for them will probably push them straight back to the elite, not screw them up. Do not pass go, do not collect $200 - directly to the elite again. Phil is one guy who can probably handle Artest. I hope anybody but the Lakers gets him. Man, if they have Kobe and Artest and Jackson at the helm, they're back and their rebuild will have lasted only one season.

Please God, don't let the Lakers get Artest.

Hypothetically, if Odom was traded out, I think the Lakers would be choppy for awhile. This has been the best prolonged stretch of Odom's stay here. He's been very important in getting the triangle to flow (even though they just started working it out of nowhere). Besides, if they trade Odom out, it'll be basically a push. They're still a 2-trick pony with a different look.

Even if they somehow have Kobe, Odom, and Artest, I still don't think they beat Detroit or San Antonio. The only way that scenario happens is if they trade Mihm and/or Brown, leaving them a donut in the middle. They'd be a donut anyway if only Mihm was traded.

PS: Artest -will- screw up again and again until he gets old like Rider did and no one will take a chance on him anymore. It's just in his natural consitution. Jackson might be able to make him happy on the floor, but Artest is like Rodman -- you can never totally count on him to be on your roster from one day to the next, reg season or playoffs. He's that unstable.

It's the offense. For the first time, it's being run as smooth as humanly possible by this roster. They were in a number of games before this until they went thru a frigid chunk of 6-10 mins every game without fail. They lost a couple games where they had 15+ pt leads. Odom is playing like he did in Miami and Kobe has started taking better and fewer shots (.500 for about 9 games now). Add that to improved help defense compared to last year and there's your roll.

I made a $50 bet before the season started with my co-worker that the kings would have a better record than the lakers when the season ended.... Aint looking good now, but I think that the kings will pick it up and I don't really see the lakers "role" players playing this good the whole season. So I'm confident that I'll still win the bet.

The Kings still have a chance to outplay them for the rest of the season, but I wouldn't be feeling anywhere near confident. Better start putting away some money now.

50 dollars is chump change hahahaha, but I'm confident I won't be paying up.

I have $200 going on the same bet.
