LOL thanks for making this thread, he probably doesnt hit those two threes if you didnt

He looks frustrated out there and it's affecting his play. He just doesn't seem like his usual self.

He sure helped win this game but he does seem bent out of shape more than necessary. Hope he hangs in there. We need him. He also may be bent because he has had to share time with Fredette and Thomas. This victory should help.

Thornton is the stubborn donkey that Smart will ride till the end game. He might miss a million shots but Smart knows that Marcus ain't gonna give up till the game ends. And that's how he delivered those 3 point bombs that kept the game up for grabs.

This sort of trust that Smart gives is now being rewarded.

These guys are still learning how to play together... There is a ton of offense on this team. Once it clicks, this team will be unstoppable.

He hasn't played well this year, can't really see how anyone could argue otherwise. He has been hurt though and just how much that has affected him is unknown. He showed me a lot at the end of last season so I'm expecting a better stretch from him soon, but yeah thus far he has been disappointing.

He's a little off this year or else this is the guy we got in the trade. In any case he's not the star I thought he was going to be. Not that he's bad he's just not great. I'm satisfied.

I think he has been fine. Considering the injury and coaching change. The fact that he continues to show up and give maximum effort late in games even when he's struggling tells me he'll eventually play better. Overall though, he's been ok. We certainly looked a lot worse without him.

I'm not sure he's totally 100% from the thigh injury. Apparently that was one big hematoma. I'm sure he's more frustrated than anybody, but he did show up to help get this win. Thank you Marcus, for making the ones that mattered.

He had a bad game with some fugly plays, but I think in the eyes of most fans (and probably the coaches) - the two big 3's made up for it. Now in MY eyes a couple made shots do not - BUT - they were clutch shots and I think they will save him some heat from the coaching staff on what was otherwise a sloppy game from him.

Yeah you know 2 clutch 3's will do that to you.

See my above post. Nothing wrong with two very clutch shots, but that doesn't erase the fact that the rest of the game he looked awful and hurt the team on both ends of the floor. Most of his games seem like that - overall sloppy, but with some very key/clutch shots thrown in here and there that seem to redeem him.

I actually agree with you. However, I also don't think that he's as terrible as some have made him out to be. I think this is the player he has always been. He's also a shooter. Shooter's can go through really long good or bad streaks.

He has also been hurt, and I think that he's trying too hard right now. He just needs to let the game come to him and I think he will be fine.

What till hes fit. He started this season like he ended last then injuries hit. Give it time.

This win could be the catalyst here. We rolling. Get in

He's young, i think is the reason. Let's not accept him for what he is today. He is going to learn and become a better player, simple. He's always had a score-first mentality. But i think he's going to learn that winning games is not always about himself.

He seems frustrated at times and he forces a lot of shots under heavy duress. I think he will be fine eventually. He's a competitor.

He's trying to force himself to be an all star when he's not start material. I agree with other posters on this board who have said he's a 6th man at best. He could fill the role of a guard coming off the bench who might score you lots of points if he's feeling it. Outside of that, I'm not sure what he does well. As a guard you have to have SOME guard abilities.

I don't get that at all. He has started the year off being very selfish (like much of the rest of the team). If he sheds the selfishness and becomes more disciplined on defensive assignments, he will be a very good and valuable starter for a long time to come.
