What team would be the best fit for Jason Kidd and the Nets??

crutonimo

G-League
So Kidd wants out....NJ has to start considering its options. There arent too many scenarios out there that make sense for all 3 parties involved (Nets, Kidd, trading partner). Heres some of the teams on my short list that seem to make some sense...

Chicago
Golden State
Denver
Lakers
Orlando

Any opinions....

Add Houston to that list, remove Denver, Chicago and GS. Still, Kidd dishing out to Howard, Lewis and Hedo, well that'd be curtains for everyone else in the East, maybe even the whole NBA.

i would hate to see it, but the lakers biggest weakness is at PG. crazy if he went to orlando as well

Their biggest weakness is up front. They can't trade for Kidd unless they get some big...any big, in return. Only things they can offer are Odom (who'd want him?) or Kwame ($9 mill expiring contract). As worthless as they may be, they're going to really get beaten with Turiaf and Mbenga playing 48 mins a game. Plus, the tri doesn't have traditional points, shooters have mainly filled that role. The only exception was Payton, and they had to play a traditional offense for a big chunk of that season to get any production out of him. Wasn't a good ending, they probably remember that. I think Kidd would probably spend time as a pseudo-2 w/ Fisher at 1 and Kobe at 3.

I think Denver would perhaps be the best fit. Kidd could gaurd slower 2s with his size and intelligence, while Iverson could handle smaller, but quicker 1s. He would push the tempo (he's shown he's still capable of that this year) and really work well with the athletic finishers Denver has. Kidd would also be able to distribute shots between Anthony and Iverson better than probably anyone in the game. Finally, and probably most importantly, Kidd would bring an intensity and will to win that Denver desperately lacks (outside of maybe Iverson).
