What do you know about Joey Dorsey?

He's a Memphis Tiger - just like Tyreke - but there the comparisons end. Coming out of college was seen as a potential NBA roll player/banger. Went down to D-League for awhile - not unlike Donte - but again the comparisons end there too. Not quite as tall as Carl Landry but has an inch or so longer wing span. Dorsey has shown some more promise of late on the court but unless becomes more focused and consistent may not stick in the big league for long.

He's undersized but beastly. I wanted the Kings to get him in the draft, wanted him in the Artest trade, and it took a little longer than I'd liked but we got him!

He reminds me a lot of Ben Wallace. Undersized but just simply productive. He also has that rare quality Big Ben had where he couldn't really score for crap but he could make some sweet passes here and there. I wouldn't say he has a high IQ, far from it, but he does see the court fairly well. He does have a bit of an edge, for instance a few years ago in college he called out Greg Oden, something to the effect that it was like a battle of David and Goliath when they played, and he (Dorsey) was Goliath. He proceeded to get his *** handed to him, just like Goliath (must not have heard the full story on that one) shortly thereafter I believe he shut his yap and Memphis went on to major success.

He and Brockman bring a level of toughness to this team that I don't think we've seen before.

Good rebounder, fouls a lot, will score mainly off putbacks.

Perhaps comparable to Danny Fortson, without the jumper but with slightly more hops.

It is becoming more difficult to apply the 'soft' label to this team.

Its almost all the way gone but Hawes needs to stay hungry, however i have to say he has been improving some on that front.

I want a team of hard nosed players thats the ticket to end the playoff drought.

Dorseys a brickhouse I watched him a lot in college he reminded me of a Ben Wallace type then and still does. All he has to do is bring energy, hustle and toughness and he can have a pretty nice career in the right spot, hopefully thats here.

Im also glad to see the tough image coming to this team, that is how you win playoff series making every possession a dog fight. Hopefully over the years these young guys can develop that attitude. Also in Spencers defense I don't think he's soft just not a physically developed NBA center yet and with work that'll change too.
