What can we do to save the Kings(IE keeping them in Sacto, not in fake southern california). This whole thing has been very frustrating and I don't even live in Sacramento, but I want to know if I can do anything? Can we atleast show support to keep the Kings and get national attention somehow? How did the Rockets fans keep them in Houston again? Can we copy them?

I don't think it's a matter of national attention - I think we need local action. And it's probably by separating the arena plan from the local redevelopment snafu. Those matters should have never been combined. The arena (as envisioned by the NBA) does not fit into the plan of the redevelopment people and there is no point in continuing to fight them for agreement.

We need someone to take the bull by the horns and write a plan that does work in this area, with a great arena, with financing, working with local planning agencies so the actual site really does work.

IMHO, it can be done, if we get our goals straight.

One Bee article said arena supporters are talking about establishing a permanent organization pushing for a new arena. I'll have to look into that.
