What a disapointing effort

I completely agree, but it still annoyed me to no end.

It annoyed me less as the game went on.

When he jumped up and down like they'd just won a ring after their first two made baskets, I told him (via the TV, of course) to sit down and knock it off. It seemed more appropriate later on.

Though I'd love to see it on the Kings' bench.

Well i can't say the effort was 100% there but it was more then just effort. The Kings and artest looked very tired out there trying to defend Kobe. I think they were so focused on Kobe that it allowed other players on the Lakers to step up and get easy shots. I gotta admit, I never expected Devon George to come out and make huge baskets in the fourth quarter. Another thing that I saw the Kings lack was ball movement. On defense I think the Kings could of defended the paint much better. Lakers are mostly a jump shooting team and tonight we made them look much better then they are at dunking and making layups.

We beat them 3 in a row (not counting pre-season) before this game so we kind of had it coming. I have a feeling we'll have our way the next time we meet.

The optimist in me says, "It's just 1 game"
the King's fan in me says, "BUT it was the LAKERS!!!"
The basketball fan in me says, "We looked awful tonight. Horrible game."

It's funny (and sad) that the "optimist" and the "Kings fan" are COMPLETELY SEPARATE PERSONALITIES.
