All-Star
azcentral.com - For the first time in franchise history the Grizzlies will have a representative in the NBA All-Star game. Eyewitness Sports has learned Pau Gasol will be a reserve center for the western conference during All-Star Weekend. The Grizzlies fifth year player is averaging 19.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.3 rebounds thru 47 games this season.

Tony Parker and Shawn Marion will also be on the roster, while Carmelo Anthony and Marcus Camby were left off. [

All three deserve it right there.

I don't care if Camby was hurt for a number of games, the guy deserved to make it.

So, it's:

Tony Parker
Ray Allen
Shawn Marion
Elton Brand
KG
Dirk Nowitzki
Pau Gasol

Ray Allen didn't deserve to make it and Camby should've been over Pau. PAU IS A FORWARD, NOT A CENTER. This is retarded but oh well.

And also Yao got voted in and started, Camby missed less games, had a better year so far, and has a better record. If you're going by record than Mcgrady(who I honestly like) and Yao shouldn't be there. If you're not, then some of the pistons shouldn't be there. Either way this allstar game is messed up. I also kind of think Mike should make it because Ray did and Mike's team is better than Ray Allen's and he's had some 40 point games but whatever.

Chris Paul = ROBBED.

That guy is more than deserving to go to the game.

16 points, 7 assists, 5 rebound, and 2 steals a game?

Compare him to Parker who averages 19/5/3/1...

I think I'd rather have Paul, despite the differences in the shooting percentages.

I agree with you 99% but the point the coaches chose is because Parker is winning much more than the Hornets, even though I DEFINTALY agree that Hornets are having a REALLY good season so far.

last year mike gets snubbed for friggin Manu GInobli and this year Ray Allen get in over bibby AGAIN!! Ray Allen even got in that year he played like 20 games in...all that dude has to do is show up in a game and hit a couple threes and the coaches send him to the damn all-star game...

Well, I was sure Bibby would finally get into the All-star game htis year, but I guess not. And you can't say he didnt because his team is doing bad, just look at none other than Ray Allen.

Next year when the Kings are the best team or close to it in the west, mike bibby will surely get in. He just has to

i'd hardly call 16 pts and 4 rebounds and 4 assists a "terrific" and "break out" year

especially when he is beating out bibby's 20 pts , 4rbs and 7 assists for a place in the all-star team

Carmelo or Paul should get it over Allen. Glad to see Gasol there, though maybe the gun is being jumped. It's got to be the beard.

There's no problem with Yao. His stats were fine; he was voted in. He's not exactly A.C. Green or anything. Can't really call foul for ballot stuffing, as that's what everyone does. If Camby were voted in as the starter, I'd want Yao over Gasol, for the same reason above: Yao's a center.

The injury argument makes sense.
