Welcome to the Kings!

Just dish some assists, Jason, and look for the open guy and we'll welcome you with open arms.

Block some shots, Reggie, and play FOR us as well as you usually play against us and you'll hear us cheering for you instead of against you.

GO KINGS!!!

Can someone please give us a brief write-up about Terry and Evans? Also what will they be asked to do here?

Reggie will be fun to watch. I can't see Jet getting many minutes. I think this trade was addition by subtraction. MT was crap and had a crap attitude. Good to see another Petrie piece out the door.

...I don't think I'll be posting in the thank you thread. :p

Reggie is a rebounder and enforcer. Literally, those are the only two things he does but he does them well. Not sure he's needed with our current bigs but he's a high energy tough guy which is always a plus.

Jet is useless at this point. He is awful on defense to the point that it's hard to keep him on the floor and his offense has slowly left him over the years. He's a vet who will give you about 10-15 minutes/night.

Brooklyn wasn't using him to his strengths. Been a Terry fan for a long time and the guy is ageless. He could still (very easily) put up 8-10ppg here in a 20-25min per game avg. He could play for another 4-5 years with the shape he's in right now. Not saying he will, but he could.

I think Kings fans will like him.

Agree to disagree. If you are a fan who has watched him play you can see he has lost his physical abilities. The wheels had already started coming off the year before in Boston so it isn't just a system thing. I liked him but father time is undefeated and Terry's done. Watch him play d and let's see how much Kings fans like him. He makes IT look like Tony Allen.

It's cruel of course but I think MT was a victim of circumstances. Orrrrr, he got his contract and was satisfied with that and quit trying.

What JT really brings at this point is years or experience, Jewelry and a serious vet presence in the locker room. In the 10 min or so he should see in court time he can produce some points and will leave more time for Ben and Jimmer to play/develop.

You misspelled "goon." I don't mean that as a pejorative, a goon is a good thing to have, especially when you have a player like Cousins; it pays to have a goon to handle his light work, and thereby keep the meal ticket from getting thrown out of games.

Just don't give the goon big minutes: aside from rebounding and gooning it up, he's not good for much else. And, by "much else," I mean anything else.

Did someone just call into Ross' show and say that Reggie Evans blocks shots? Evans is a twelve-year vet, who's never blocked seventeen shots in a season. And why do people keep saying he's 6'10"? He's not even listed at 6'10", and he's not particularly close to his listed height.

And who was this twerp who apparently thinks he called into the Jim Rome show?

I'm hoping Jet will mentor Jimmer. I'd like to keep Jimmer around now, and there are a lot worse players to have coaching you.

Agree except for the 'craps'. He wasn't but I am glad to see him go.

Also someone on another forum suggested with the addition of Reggie Evans along with Cuz/Acy we should be called Smacktown. I thought it was pretty clever.

Is he normally listed at 6'9"? He measured out at 6'7.5" barefoot at the NBA Pre-Draft camp. Typical adjustment is 1.25" for shoes, so his playing height should round up to 6'9".

Did someone just post implying that radio talk show callers are usually rational and insightful? ;)

I'm so glad we won't have to watch MT embarrassingly air-ball or maybe barely graze rim any more rest of this season - and for sure next. I don't recall ever seeing so many or really any from him before this season but something was definitely amiss (a-brick) in 2013-14. Terry/Evans are OK in return plus saving some cap room makes good sense. Now, lets see if PDA has another deal up his sleeve over next few hours to top this one.

finally someone that should be able to hit an open shot when Rudy or DMC kicks the ball out to them......

but man it's crazy how much Terry has fallen off since the Mavs championship run

Now if we ditch Landry you will be a happy camper gunks! Your two least faves, haha.

On Draft Express, his measurements were 6'7.5 w/o shoes, 6'8.5 with shoes, a 7'2.5 wingspan, and a 8'11.5 standing reach.

I think coach Malone should pit Evans against DMC in practice so when he gets in games the constant contact won't feel as bad.
