Welcome home Corliss...

Despite all the negativity associated with this trade, I would like to say welcome back to Corliss Williamson. It has certainly been awhile.

Nice thread, shows class... Welcome back Big Nasty!

There will be plenty of room down low for him to work his little 1 on 1 game considering that our centers only shoot midrange jumpers, and I'm not sure if Skinner shoots anything.

It's going to be really hard for me to watch Corliss play for the Kings again. He just doesn't fit with my idea of a King anymore. Oh well...

Irony - Corliss was gotten rid of in the first place to keep peja. now he's being acquired to keep peja.

I'm not sure if that's the reason why we got rid of Corliss. We had some depth at SF and his game was post game which suddenly got clogged up by Divac and Webber. He would have not been as useful in that system anymore.

This is the toughest you'll ever get. Just look at the expression on his face. STEP BACK!!!!

Then he should fit right in with Brad and Peja.

Our toughness just stepped up a notch.

how does a non-rebounding, non defending low post player in a shooting guard's body increase toughness?

I like Corliss, btw. I wish EVERY player in the nba could be a little more like him in the personality department. It just has always seemed like he clearly lacks a position and is not good enough to have to adjust every other position's responsibilities around him. He is too small to defend power forwards, too slow (and too small in many instances) to defend small forwards.

Hes the only positive as hes a great backup for Peja and his contract is up the end of the season. My doubts are Thomas and Skinner. Skinner has a player option, but considering hes hasn't been playing good, I think he'll pick it up. :( Thomas has 3 years guaranteed at 39 mill I believe.

and on a side note......doesn't kenny thomas avg a double double?

No, he surprised everyone, probably himself included by doing it last year on an awful Sixers team. But this year its back down to 6.6 in 28.6. He's a respectable rebounder for a guy his size, but hardly a great masher.
