Welcome Hilton Armstrong! to the roller coaster of emotions that is the Kings this year... lol! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEtKjACpQEg

although a lot of people are freaking out about trading for you. (which doesn't make any sense to me because we just got paid to take you, not the other way around)

I think your gonna be a good addition that will surprise people with your play... you are a much better fit to guard the Bynum's and Pau's than Kenny thomas, sean may and yes sorry guys even brockman (brock is a reb monster tho)

your in great shape and injury free... the skys the limit!!!

lets hope the power of Arco is all you've been missing!

I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Welcome Hilton! Hope you enjoy your stay here and do well!

Welcome Hilton!
I don't know why, but I really got a good feeling that he can and will succeed here if he's given a chance.

Hi Hilton, please grab more than 7 rebounds per 48 minutes. Thanks.

Yet another totally irrelevant move by GP. I really don't understand how this guy can be so money in the draft and absolutely take a dump with moves like these.

Welcome Hilton! I hope a change of scenery is just what you need to get your NBA career back on track!
How does it? The hornets were one of the weakest teams up front the past few years. They were also cash strapped. Not to mention, the starting center in Chandler was often injured. This is a perfect combo for a young big looking for opportunities. He got his shot, and he proved he will never improve.

I don't know how I feel about this but, showtime, maybe you should save your comments for the other thread. Just leave this one alone

Welcome Hilton, whatever you did in your past gets erased. You have a clean slate here. The one part of your game that I like is that when you're near the basket, you throw it down instead of flipping in a layup. Something that our other bigs could learn.

Welcome Hilton. Good luck, and by watching the youtube highlights, I think you just might be better that someone who shall remain nameless.

Welcome Hilton!!

You were Big East Defensive Player of the year in 2006. Give us half of that and you will be welcomed with a handcrafted Carl's Jr. bobblehead in your image.

More importantly....

Welcome Cash Considerations!!

Aye bro it's sorta a tradition to not rag on people in the Welcome thread...so just move it on over to the other thread. Thanks.
Well, go ahead and have your welcome thread to every player that walks in the door. I'm sure Sam Cassell and Drew Gooden really appreciate it.

Lol.....you make me laugh...I'm just saying I don't think it's right to bag on someone if they haven't had a fair shot yet (here I mean, because according to you he has had plenty of "fair shots" elsewhere).

I'm bagging on him because he's had plenty of play in order to be fairly evaluated. As I said, I don't understand why people think that putting on a Kings uniform means a player automatically becomes better and that everything he has done prior is no indication of his abilities. But if you want to welcome him, I'm not stopping you.

WOW, dude hasn't even laced um up for the Kings and he already has detractors. Have we become so jaded that we think just because someone is traded to the Kings that they are gonna FAIL? There are uncountable instances in the NBA where a change of scenery has helped a player. Besides, he is long and can rebound. He doesn't have to be an allstar, he just needs to be an improvement over Sean May and hopefully better than Kenny Thomas. Why point out that the kid hasn't succeeded to this point in his career. When he plays a game or 2, then evaluate how he is as a Kings player. Give the Kid a CHANCE! :)

It's not just the uniform or whatever its the whole playing enviroment. The coaching staff the players whom he will be playing with ect. Im not saying that this is a better enviroment from New Orleans by all means, but I do believe that we should give him a fair shot until he proves he has a reason to be bagged on.

Welcome, Hilton. It may be that I'm still thinking it's draft night 2006, but I actually approve of this trade. May you prove me (and Petrie) right.

Welcome Hiltom Armstrong. Please go after loose balls, rebounds, and most importantly try to block as many shots as possible. This team needs it badly. Thank you.

Dear Hilton,

As long as you attempt to play defense and stay away from the tree point line and cheeseburgers, you're fine with me. Best of luck!!!

He's had his critics before this deal even went down. Just go visit a hornet forum and ask them how much they like him as a player.

Have we become so jaded that we think just because someone is traded to the Kings that they are gonna FAIL?

When did I ever base any of my comments on the basis of being a King? I didn't say he's going to fail because he was traded here, I said he sucks based on his entire career of play.

There are uncountable instances in the NBA where a change of scenery has helped a player.

And I have already addressed that being with the hornets was a better situation than being on this kings team. Yet, you can't seem to grasp this.

Besides, he is long and can rebound. He doesn't have to be an allstar, he just needs to be an improvement over Sean May and hopefully better than Kenny Thomas.

He's not. That's the point. KT can rebound better than Hilton, and defend better as well.

Why point out that the kid hasn't succeeded to this point in his career. When he plays a game or 2, then evaluate how he is as a Kings player. Give the Kid a CHANCE! :)
What don't you understand about my posts? I don't need to give him a chance, because he's already had a chance to show anybody willing to pay attention what he can do. I've watched the majority of his entire professional career since he's been drafted by the hornets. I don't need to watch a few games in a Kings uniform to form an opinion about him and what he can do on the court.

Again, what is so difficult to understand about him being in the best situation with the hornets? With any other team, he doesn't get to play as much, or even make the team. Because of being with the hornets, not only did he make a team, but he was able to play more minutes in more games than potentially any other team in the league. He was in the best situation to contribute with the hornets, and he proved what he can do already.
