First Richmond, then Vlade, and now Webber? I think Laker fans and Kings fans should join hands and sing kumbaya, we have so much in common!
^ Juwann Oldham. Don't forget him.
Serio, tho, we also picked up Jim Jackson for God knows why and I can't recall him playing in a single game. I think we do it just to irritate Kings fans.
Phil and Webber's agent are sniping at each other, didn't take long for Goodwin to whine over Phil's mind tricks. That guy has to be crazy if he thinks Phil's gonna promise a starting slot and PT. That was apparently the assumption that Vlad Rad was working under when he signed up and now he's a shooter who's afraid to shoot and Phil's calling him a space cadet.
I hope that Mitchell keeps a healthy amount of skepticism for Goodwin. This is the guy who encouraged Payton not to report to Boston, costing us an addt'l draft pick during the restructuring of the trade. That little Fer WAS a coattail rider; at least Malone gave us our best PF since young A.C. Payton constantly sulked (surprise), couldn't adapt to the tri, couldn't guard anyone anymore. If Jackson didn't go away from the tri in the Semis and pack the lane against Parker's drives, we would've been swept. Goodwin and Payton think
they were the ones who were acting on good faith...
Goodwin says that Webber has talked to Mitchell and is waiting to speak to Phil. I imagine he and Mitchell chatted casually about knee injuries and Mitchell told him he don't know nada about knee injuries. Webber was probably amused when Mitchell told him that when his knee buckled, his flailing arm slapped the spit out of Kobe's dad on the way down.
