We need more veteran players!!!!

With the Mikki Moore signing and the interest this offseason in players like Mo Pete and Mike Wilks, I figured I would propose some trades that would further the only kind of youth movement we believe in: moving them youngsters out the door to make way for journeymen vets.

So, proposed trades:

Kevin Martin for Aaron McKie

Francisco Garcia for Eddie Jones

Justin Williams for Vin Baker

All old? Check.
All have former injuries or are otherwise slow and lacking athleticism? Check.
All have some sort of jumpshot? Check.
All have absolutely no upside? Check.
Perfect players/trades for Petrie? CHECK! Get it done, GP!

I don't agree at all with this plan and find it highly dubious. The key is not to get people who are obviously over the hill, but rather players who are on the verge of being over the hill so we can watch their disintigration first-hand. Preferably players on the verge of a career-ending injury or, better yet, who just gradually start sucking until they have no trade value whatsoever.
