i got love for hayes but the gay is to dam small isnt the best rebounder and has no offense at all always gets blockd and im just sick and tired of us having a small center id rather see hassan whiteside in their getin stupid fould atleast hell be blocking people or getin boards!idk what u ppl think????nd travis outlaw is aful why isnt he playing donte or garcia??donte has way better d and i thought he had a great offseason lookdlike he stepd up his game fire p.w

no way, Hayes is pretty much the main reason our halfcourt defense isn't that bad at the moment, and when you have a starting lineup of Tyreke evans, Marcus Thornton, John Salmons, and Demarcus Cousins, scoring is the last of your concerns, its execution or the complete lack of an offensive system that is destroying this team right now, poor execution leads to bad shots, which lead to fastbreaks, which is compounded by our terrible transition defense. We are the youngest team in the league, and we look like the youngest team in the league.

JJ is way too small for PF and doesnt have chuck's strength and defense. also you can be sure chuck will do his part pass the ball set screens where jj will be tempted to take jumpshots and force shots. hayes is doing a good job and an admirable job on defense. blame th guards for not creating ball movement. we lose because no one creates and facilitates the offense. this kings offense is not so fun to watch to be honest. no movement

yea i guess iv ben really botherd by when chuck trys to create offense he has no offense to me he forces shots and i just hate that hes 6'6 i would think jj and cuz will be more effective together starting n chuck would be nice off the bench but who knows i dont think travis should get donte or garcias playing time what u guys think???u guys htink sammy and d cuz starting woulda ben more effective?

I wouldn't mind starting J.J. just for evaluation purposes, see what he can do, whether he should be part of the team's long term future, etc. But JT, no way. We know what JT is at this point and he's not a starting caliber player. 8th or 9th man in the rotation is the perfect spot for him.

yea i wanna see jj and d cuz start i mean jj is soooo young he can easly develope into a better player all his team mates call him a animal thats because hes a great huslter and i think would be more effective then chuck starting idk thats just me i wanna see donte get minues trav outlaw sucks he has wobbly feet and forces dumb shots he dont make anymore!!!

Not sure if this is a joke??? It is right?

Hayes is one of the only things consistent about this team on both ends of the floor, and he's not even in shape.

so u guys like letting centers hayes guards just shoot it rite over him rebound it over him???block him???have u guys seen how hayes has no offense at all zero!!!!then he trys to force some shots thats what got me thinkin wtf are u doin???? idk im just sick an tired of having a small pf iv ben sick and tired of that sense we had kenny thomas and then again with carl 24!be realistic we aint going nowhere with a midget powerforward hayes would be better of comin off the bench...cause if demarcus aint scorin down low whos gona score hayes????i dont think so and his free throws suck as so u tell me where im wrong at wanting to start jj or jt or **** even activate hassan...u guys all talk **** about jt but to me hes still a good player he just never gets the chance he deserves p.w always changing his role so he never knows what his role on the team is

Wow. This really tells me how much you know about basketball. Jason Thompson had plenty of chances. He started for us for the first two years! He showed us how inconsistent he was/is, even last year. Chuck is our most consistent player so far. You know he will get 8-10 rebounds, a few good passes, good screens, a charge or two.

The horrible truth is that Hayes is better than JT or JJ. He is not an offensive force and we don't need him to be an offensive force. I am not sure his play with the Kings demonstrates anything yet because of the chaos on the court but in a well structured defense he is very difficult to get beaten. He is very strong. If you remember way back to the Lakers game, remember how well he guarded Pau Gasol.

He is a veteran and a very good leader. All the players like him and listen to him. He can set picks. He can rebound.

I think very few of us like small centers but we don't get to sign free agents. JT has shown his skill level and it's not great but adequate. JJ confuses me perhaps because the team is a confusing mess. He LOOKS like a tremendous athlete but either isn't or just doesn't know what his role should be on this team. Whiteside, to me, looks absolutely inept. He can't shoot, he is very weak, and looks confused. I will be surprised if he contributes significant minutes in the near future. In a few years, he ould be a very different player. Who knows? He's worth hanging on to but certainly shouldn't be playing much in games that count.

I think it's a great question, actually. I think it is very difficult to actually see what Chuck brings to the team and perhaps others are better at describing it. I'm sure you aren't the only one who is confused.

I looked at a few videos and he has an uncanny ability to stay in front of big guys and BECAUSE he is short and strong, can't be moved. He also has an ability to block shots occasionally on guys half a foot taller. At the least he contests shots very well. I don't know how he does it without fouling but he does.

Now, if I had my druthers, I'd have a shot blocker on the team to go with Hayes. Different matchups would determine who played.

Please look for videos on Youtube or there was one thread here recently that had several videos. He is very inspirational on a team that needs a steady, vocal, and intelligent guy on the court. He is all of that. And he came cheap.

when jj or jt learn to defend even at average level then maybe. adding another scorer to the starting 5 is like gas to fire.... house fire...

there is actually a point here as Hayes complete lack of offense has been felt at times out there -- its far more blatant a hole than Daly's was.

That said, Hayes is the only defense we have up front right now, and we just can't take a step even further back there. We just need to adjust the offense to get Reke/Thronton and Cousins comfortable and going and there will be more than enough room for a nonfactor like Hayes in the group. In fact having a guy who does not shoot is extremely useful amongst a group of high volume offensive stars. If we can consisently get 55-60 out of our main trio, Hayes will be fine. The great trick is finding some way to keep the other team from scoring even more, and that's not going to happen if JJ is out there, and probably not Thompson either (who is better than he has played in the early season, but still no stopper).

Couldn't disagree more and the spacing difference alone while still not great is a world of difference. Hayes and Daly fit in the same category: neither one should be iso'd in the post, EVER! hahaha, although Hayes has shown some pretty quick and nifty moves thus far breaking past his man and into the paint. Hayes can also set awesome screens and his screens alone have been responsible for at least one easy basket a game.

Also, this team isn't hopeless on the pick and roll defensively anymore. Towards the end of the Bulls game they played pick and roll defense better than they ever did or could have last year.

I've also been impressed with Cousins interior defense. He's starting to look more comfortable being that shot changer. Both Hayes and Cousins have done well using their girth to their advantage.
