I predict we win at least 2 of the next 3 to close-out March. I don't think April will be as scary as some people think.

Also, I think some fear/worries comes from these last few games, and, then looking at the rest of the schedule.

This thread is somewaht accurate, or at least possible.

In April you could easily go:

Clippers -- W
@ Dallas -- L
@ San Antonio -- L
@ Clippers -- L
Houston -- W
Phoenix -- L
@Denver -- L
New Orleans -- W
Seattle -- W

And with that New Orleans game potentially looming as important wiht them coming into town and us, in that scenario, having dropped 5 of 6.

It could work otherwise, but April is tough enough to have the potential for us to stumble badly. Better load up on wins while we still can.

OK, so 12 games left, 6 on the road, 6 at home. 6 against playoff teams, 6 against sub-par teams. Logic would say the Kings would go at least 6-6 for a final record of 41-41, right? But we all know the Kings are anything but logical.

I'd say a worst-case scenario of 4-8...best case...9-3. It's completely up to them how it all turns out, and how much they really want to keep their season alive.

Word.

And hopefully we'll still have a semblance of sanity come April 19.

;)

I would love to see us beat these big teams like Spurs, Dallas and Phx this upcoming month.

I think its really possible

I'm really interested to see the Spurs game, given that if we make the playoffs we'll most likely be squaring off against them in Round 1...we've managed to dodge them for years, but it appears our turn is up...I can hear myself screaming already.

Good thing the Lakers won last night... SHOOT ME NOW PIK

I am a little concerned right now. Not only do we have a crazy schedule with back to backs up the yang, over the past 5 or so games we have not been playing well.

I attribute that to the amount of minutes most of the team was playing during that streak. Now it looks like its starting to catch up.

That, and a couple of the dudes that have been logging heavy minutes are also obviously hurting. Bibby and Artest both have a noticable limp and are missing that extra pep in their step with their respective bumps and bruises. Miller just can't continue at this pace, or else he's rendered useless, injury or not. Martin and Garcia will be trying to return from injuries, so that piles even more minutes on the starters as Adelman will be cautious with them. We need to ride on Bonzi and Reef as much as possible, as scary as that sounds.

I think Adelman's strategy is to do whatever it takes, fatigue be damned, and he'll deal with that issue once the playoffs come around and B2Bs aren't an issue.

can we bracket utah and NO and see how we stand against them.
i think we have a tighter scheduled as against them.
can we hold on....

Well we lost 1 already we better win the next 2 . Otherwise we can hello lottery soon .....considering our road record and we are playing the best of the best on the road in april .

Unfortunately, there's not enough time for us to sink all the way into the lottery.

:(

Well, now, I definitely expect the next two games to be won.

Ever the eternal optimist. ;)

I would certainly say we BETTER win the next two.

Of course...there is a little voice in the back of my head asking how much I want to see us back into the playoffs only to be squished by the Spurs. Does that really do anything for us? Head in strong...sure. Take your shot. But fall in, get whipped and sent home like the stable boys? The question again I suppose -- let's say we went 4-6 from here until the final game of the season, and were barely hanging onto that final playoff spot...what, I wonder, do I really want to have happen in that last game? Win it, just to say we made the playoffs? Lose it to get the longshot at a top pick? We are currently executing my absolute worst case scenario -- the unworthy stumble into the playoffs. No hope if we make it in the playoffs. Blow our hope to get lucky in the lottery if we miss them. Pointless.

Depressing thought # 24392 for the night: We are playing the Blazers tomorrow night. We ALWAYS have trouble with them in Portland. I am NOT encouraged.

sad and depressing. i really didn't want to see the kings in the PO this year. beginning of the year w/ all these new pieces then a midseason trade w/ artest. this team is better off trying to lose as many games as possible to get a better shot at the #1. *sigh*

Well...whether its fortunate or unfortunate, we are probably going ot hang on to the spot. Even sub-.500 might get us in. Utah has an even tougher schedule than we do the rest fo the way, and the Hornets have been in complete freefall for a month. Actually may be more likely that somebody further back could put together the amazing run behind a 6 gmae win streak or whatnot to pressure us than our closest pursuers. But either way, if we do no more than win 4 or 5 of our final 11 we probably hang on.

we lost to SA by 3 and then 1, without Artest... we can beat them
yes and we had chances to tie and win them by last second shots so i do believe we can beat them if brad and artest shoot well
