We Can Still Do This!!!!!

^^ LOL

only 7 teams in nba history have come back to win a series when down 1-3 at one point.

let's be # 8 ;)

we cant even win at arco! we had a losing record on the road this season and we dont have the personnel to win many games.

Kings no longer have the ambition to "do this". They seem to have already given up. 4-1 Sonics. Pretty sad.

Does it feel good to know your completely wrong?

Do you really enjoy being a downer that much? If you can't go with the program, find another thread to post in. Keep in mind the warning you got in CHAT.

^^ yeah. when the sonics took the lead after a 3, they just looked down. at that point i knew it was gonna be hard cause it seems like they gave up. then they just didn't have the poise and composure to rally back. sad. but oh well. kinda hard to win when you don't have an established leader, or established roles for players, and when the team doesn't have the chemistry to handle pressure when the times get tough.

As much as I hate losing this series I would rather not see our team get obliterated by the Spurs even if we make it!

I started this thread to lighten up the mood a little in here. However, now that it is going in a little bit of a positive direction, I will say that I have been around sports for a long time and have seen some strange things. I have seen the immaculate reception, Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson, the 1980 USA hockey Team and so on. I just listened to Adelman on the post game and he just empatically reminded the media that Seattle had to win 4 games to win this series and until that happens, this series is not over. Call me unrealistic if you want, but I consider it not giving up on your team. I saw a post after game 2 from someone stating that the team has given up on us. That is BS. These are professionals and I promise you that they are trying every minute they are on the floor. Does that mean that they don't get frustrated during a game or make really bad decisions. No. That means that they want to win this series probably as bad as we would like them to win this series. Will they? Well we'll just have to wait and see. And even if they don't, I will be right back in front of my TV or at the Arena next year rooting for whatever team they put on the floor.

I think they can win on Tuesday. Kings will have "desperation" energy, Sonic will have that relaxed "cushioned" feeling.

It's the next 2 games that really worry me.

Finally- someone showing a little bit of a positive. I love how the "fans" don't even wait until the series is over to start proposing trades, talking about the moves we can make, asking if this team could ever contend.

Last time I checked- the score of this series was 3-1. It takes FOUR to win. Teams have come back from 3-1 before, and teams will come back from 3-1 again. All of the teams that were down 3-1 that came back were not riding any sort of mometum going into game 5 (hell the fact that they were down 3-1 means that little had gone right up until that point). Just look at the Red Sox last year- down 3-0 and humiliated in game 3, yet once they got a little momentum things started to turn around, and look at where they ended up.

I just HATE all the negativity. it doesn't look good, but it is not over. Even these new look Kings have proven they can score in bunches (a bunch of games over 110 down the stretch). As long as you can score baskets you have a punchers chance, and that is all you can ask for.

Think about it, the Kings should come into Game 5 like they did Game 3- full of desperation. Game 5 is truly lose or go home. If they don't pull out all the stops, then I underestimated this team. If you manage to pull out game 5, you come back to Arco for Game 6 with some momentum. That didn't do us well tonight, but I like our chances at Arco in any given game. Suddenly you are in Game 7. Seattle, who had this series wrapped up a few days earlier is now in a one game playoff, the favored team in danger of being upset. All the pressure is on them- Kings fans know that anything can happen in game 7.

Does it look good- no; Do I expect us to win, not really; Will I give up before
the series is over, HELL NO! Sorry Kings "fans," I don't want a space on your damn lifeboats, I am going down with the ship...

Can we win this ? F* YEAH !

Our boys have 2x as much talent as the Sonics, all they need is some goddamn heart & determination. Anything is possible when you WANT IT !

I have no doubt that this team can win the next 3 games if they play smart basketball...and that means NO ILL ADVISED SHOTS (*hint* Cat) & some tough defense on Ray Allen. Where is Mo Evans when you need him ? Why was Cat out there (struggling on offense and on defense) logging all the minutes when we could give Mo a run and see how he does on Ray.

Other than that , a little more heart, determination and luck and we can do this thing.

GO KINGS !

Remember, if we can steal the next one...we are BACK in ARCO !

A game 6 at ARCO with the crowd as pumped as ever...welcome to hell.

If we win the next one, it's anybody's series.

Exactly- if you come out with desperation and get game 5, suddenly you have game 6 back at Arco, and if you can get it to game 7, it is anyone's game.

Arco fans love to hold signs that say "We Believe!" Is that all a bunch of BS??? If you really believe then now is the time to show it!

With all the changes and everything I am proud of them for getting to the Playoffs. I was at Fridays game and it was the best one I have ever been to - an experience I will always remember. Anything is possible, so yes, of couse they could win.....:D

Oh quit with the preaching. You're new here and you have NO IDEA what we long-time members (and there are a lot of us) have talked about before you arrived. If you're tired of the negativity, fine. Just move to the next thread.

I am not trying to be rude but it's pretty arrogant of you to make assumptions about what has gone on here and led us to our current state. Do you go into a movie near the end and, without knowing what happened, complain about the ending?

This board is dedicated to discussions of the Sacramento Kings. Provided people follow the rules, those discussions can be critical, positive, hysterical, etc. It's all part and parcel of being the most active Kings message board on the Internet.

I think you do us a big disservice to come here and start telling us we're not fans...

It's not that he's telling us that we're not fans. It's that he's telling us that we are "fans".

Sometimes, quotation marks just plain hurt my feelings.

First off, I was not speaking to the whole board. I was speaking to the people that are sizing up potential trades and free agents in other threads. My point is that real fans would give their team the courtesy of letting the season run its course before dismantling the team. This is the team that Kings' fans have been dealt, and Kings fans should root for their team until the end. If we lose on Tuesday, then I have no problem talking about what we should do for next year, but until we lose a 4th game we should stay the course and support the team.

Second, if there is an arrogance, it comes from you. You assume that because I have made 5 posts and been an official member of the board for a few days, that I have no grasp of this board or the issues involved with being a Kings fan. I have been a fan since 1991, I have missed few games on TV or radio in the past three seasons, and I have been a "lurker" on this board for the entire season. I never became a member and never posted because I liked to read and hear other people's opinions and I don't feel qualified to chime in. I just hate th negativity and finally decided to post. BUT- it is rather unfair to say that my opinion is arrogant just because you have way more posts than I do and are more of an "expert."

If anything- I think more people should be positive about the team. If I ruffled the feathers of the fans who are giving up on their team before the season is over then GOOD- that was the intention.

Okay- enough of that (just testy after watching us lay a big egg in the second half)... Everyone has the same goal here- so one word; BELIEVE.

Kings come out with desperation and energy and steal Game 5, win a close, tense struggle behind ARCO thunder in game 6, and steal game 7 on the road (ala Lakers in 2001) against a team with little playoff experience and even less in Game 7 situations...

GO KINGS

It's 3-1 in the series and we really don't have much too loose now. These guys should think about their fans a little bit more and waive their heart on the court.Peja,Mike and the other guys has quality to win, that is for sure, they just need to step up and show some emotion on the court.
I hope that Kings will be aggressive from the first moment of the game,so I won't give up,I LOVE THIS TEAM!

I STILL BELIEVE...

It was a tough loss, especially at home," Stojakovic said. "We've got to give Seattle credit. They made a lot of tough shots, especially Ray Allen."

"We still have life," Bibby said. "Nobody on this team is going to lie down. We have to get (the next one)."

I'm glad that Bibby isn't giving up. I have this feeling in me that we can as well come back in game 5 even if we don't have home court advantage. Didn't we tie it 3-3 with Minnesota last year? Yes, and we lost only by 3 points. I think that we are not going to be out because we had many disappointments and I think that this team will not get hurt this year. GO KINGS!!

It's not very likely but anything's possible with this team. I still haven't given up, not yet. I'm not ready for TDOS yet. Let's make a series out of this. At least we did better than NJ and Memphis.

unfortunately doing better than nj or memphis isnt saying a whole lot. sure we didnt get swept but this will likely turn into a 4-1 series. the team collapsed in the second half. no effort,no execution. the 3rd and 4th quarter were pathetic! no excuses. unaccepable. blowing a 17 pt lead this team does not deserve to advance. dont get me wrong, i more than anybody would have LOVED to see us do something, anything in these playoffs but its just not going to happen. im sorry for the breaking news alert guys...its over. point fingers where you may, remain optimistic if you so wish but the end of the season is inevitable and 2 more games in seattle when only 1 win is needed is our undoing. but hey like someone else said there is always next season right?:(
