We are officially...

For the first time since i've been a fan.... we're officially #30 ! ! !

I was trying to remember absolute lowest point in Sacramento Kings history, before obvious one at present. And yes it can get worse from here for the Kenny Nothing led doormat or dormant Kings.

Here's one comparison Sacramento horror show. In 1987-88 Bill Russell was newly named head coach of the Kings and started off 17-41 before getting the axe. The team ended up with 24 total wins that season. Thus began a horrendous 7 long years of utter futility of never reaching a mere 30 wins. In consecutive seasons following the Russell debacle season win totals were 27, 23, 25, 29, 25, and 28. Yet, virtually all 41 home games each season at Arco Arena sold out... So considering that last fact, it would seem the present reality is REALLY BAD.

I know fantasy basketball doesn't reflect real life, but man, when someone tells you to load up your scrubs hinting that they will have career scoring nights against us, it's pretty obvious we're very bad. I think Brick mentioned that every player turns into Peja against us--Eddie House looked like he was hitting those threes as if they were uncontested layups.

You know, with everything going on, we'd be lucky to break 20!

What's sad is it could've been better. What a shame :(

And this is news to whom exactly?

You know, at some point you've got to just admit the emperor has no clothes and go on from there. You can't keep bringing up each new low as though it's shocking and unexpected. It's not...at least not to anyone who hasn't been living in seclusion in a cave somewhere.

It's almost February. Hopefully we'll have something/anything to talk about before the trade deadline. After that, we can pretty much just talk about the possibilities of getting the perfect lottery number combination. And when that's done, we can wait for Draft Day and then the first day of Free Agency.

Othen than that, you might want to come up with some new interesting themes for Brickie to use in his grade threads. Or try to learn to imitate crickets.

WHEN we don't make any trades this season..............

Fixed...

I have no faith in this team.
We're not 'rebuilding.'
We just suck horribly bad, yet have some young players who might end up decent at best who at this point make the fanbase cling at lost hope and proclaim we're in said rebuild because we have those said young players.

Im not an optimist.

And there you have it. Let's get real people, this is a really really low point in the franchise's history, but it has not been the lowest.

In PurpleHaze's post, lies a great truth ---> Even though we didn't reach 30 wins during that entire span, Arco was sold out basically every night. This city loved it's Kings. Now, we have had 1 season (Yes, only 1 - this year) of not reaching 30 wins. And the sky is falling. There is no hope. It's Armageddon. We will never reach 30 again.

Now trust me, I will be ther first to tell you that this team sucks and sucks really bad. And there is a multitude of reasons for the sucking.

All I'm saying is let's keep a little perspective.

Kind sir, I do believe a great many have beaten you to the punch. However, the point remains.
