Can't go against the massive amount of experience that San Antonio brings to any series these days. Defense, fundamentals, Duncan, Manu, and Parker will prove to be a handful for the Clippers. They will fall, and will fall quickly. Spurs in 4, but a moral victory will, and should, go to the Clippers as they will have gained a ton of valuable experience and can only improve in the future...

The only thing the Clipps have is Paul, and SA is going to aim all guns at him. If Clipps win, other guys will have to step up big. SA in 5.

San Antonio will eat the Clippers alive. I'm anxious to see Timmy D. take Griffin to school.

the more I think about this series, the more I'm convinced that the Spurs will just trample the Clippers. Chris Paul will probably be good for winning one game that guy is just impressive beyond belief and the 3 point shooters may get hot in another, but apart from that? SAS has them in depth (which Memphis clearly lacked), in experience (they would NEVER let go off a lead like the Grizz did), in fire power and in cohesiveness (had Z-Bo come back just like a week earlier...). I've enjoyed the hell out of the Spurs play this year and I'm really hoping they go on to win it one more time, if just for the fact that Timmy would otherwise retire with one less championship than Kobe Bryant.

Spurs are a well lubricated machine primed for the playoffs - again. What pleasure (just as a fan) to watch a REAL professional basketball squad instead of what passes for NBA teams throughout most of the association - more so this truncated season. San Antonio won a championship during last shortened season in 1998-99 and I won't be surprised if they chalk up another one this time. Of course, OKC might have something to say but that might be only one in the way.

Oops: Should have put his one in SA/LA spot but maybe doesn't matter.

EDIT: I moved it for you. - VF21

It sure is nice to watch a real team like the Spurs. They just do all the right things. If the Kings players want to win, they should watch hours and hours of Spurs tape.

Watching them makes me want to cry... a player passes up on a somewhat difficult, contested layup (which would be taken by 90% of the players in the leagye) to give the ball to an open player who then passes up on an open shot to give the ball to a player with an even more wide open shot... Team play at its best.

The only time they struggled a bit was when they were ahead by 18 and their bench went in full chuck-and-duck mode. I'm sure they got an earful from Pops in the locker room.

Spurs are making it look easy. I look for the Clippers AND the Lakers to lose in Staples this weekend. Sometimes, life is just good.

:)

apart from everything else, I take great joy in watching Boris Diaw play. on defense, he makes life absolutely miserable for Blake Griffin, who just can't score on him, since Diaw doesn't bite on his pump fakes and can't be pushed under the basket. on offense, he moves the ball very well, stretches the floor and even attacks from time to time. he's also rebounding the hell out of the ball. the difference between having him on the court vs. Splitter or Bonner is just frappant remarkable (not that those two are playing badly or anything). it's not great karma if him and Stephen Jackson win a ring this year, bitching their way out of miserable situations, but yet, I'm rooting for them.

i find it hard not to root for the spurs, in general. they are the benchmark for small market organizations, in my opinion. they are expertly coached, expertly gm'ed, and they have an owner who is involved but knows how to stay out of the way. they've flubbed some things here and there. no franchise is perfect. but they are as close to perfectly-run as possible. their adaptability as a team makes me jealous, to be perfectly honest. in a decade's time, they've gone from a well-oiled defensive powerhouse to a well-oiled offensive powerhouse without batting an eyelash. they just know how to get it done, and they don't care how they do it. they're undefeated in the playoffs thus far, and have won 16 in a row since april 11. and they've hardly been challenged along the way. really, they remind me of the golden era kings. these spurs run a stellar motion offense that focuses on ball movement. they wreck teams in the pick and roll, have threats from every spot on the court, are as deep as any team in the nba, and play more than enough defense to get by. in short, the media needs to stop talking about how nobody talks about the spurs and instead just talk about the spurs. this team is headed for a potentially incredible western conference finals match-up with oklahoma city...

I said pretty much the same thing to friend this morning, they clearly are the most watchable team left. on all the other stuff: agreed as well. I've been somewhat of a Spurs fan since they stopped the Laker run in '03 and have been on their side in these duels with the Suns as well. I'm a massive Popovich fan, too.

Watching the Spurs come all the way back to tie it after being down 24 points on the road is satisfying. :)

The Spurs have been a spectacle to watch so far. Perfectly built. Not only are their big 3 all star players....all of them are LEADERS. They can all take the ball and direct the team at any time and their teammates will listen. Combine that with great role playing shooters and defenders and you got what you see here.

A lead of 24 points becomes a deficit of 12 points and there's still a quarter left to play. If I'm a Clippers fan, I'm very, very worried. As much as I dislike all things Texas, I cannot help but respect the San Antonio Spurs. They know how to play the game and Pop knows how to create a TEAM that doesn't get rattled, doesn't melt down and resort to ego clashes, etc. Truly the way the game was meant to be played.

Watching the Spurs go on that run was a thing of beauty.

You know, I think even Brick will concede that Isaiah Thomas was totally a steal with the DFL pick but, man... Whenever I see Kawhi Leonard balling for San Antonio, I want to beat Petrie to death with a chainsaw. How in the **** did we end up with Fredette, and not this guy?

The funniest thing about all this is, as Kings Fans are well aware of, this isn't even the biggest blown lead on Vinny's résumé.

I have literally been saying this every single game this season. Especially, the playoffs.

Im not going to lie, i was not a huge fan and didnt want them to draft him. But god d*mn he is exactly what this teams needs. Offensive game needs some work, but he is legit.

he already hits his open shots and has shown some nice cuts and an understanding of how the ball is supposed to be rotated around the perimeter. he might need to get more consistent, but asking more of him offensively is just being greedy.

Congratulations to the San Antonio Spurs and to The Hammer, TyFreak Evans and VF21 for correctly predicting the sweep.

Clippers out. 1 down, 2 to go, Lakers almost done, too. Just need the Pacers to hand it to the Heat, and then the playoffs will be clear of riff raff and we can get on with basketball.

Spurs are really good at extracting every bit of talent and effort from their players and making them play above their potential. Wish the Kings can be like that. Imagine if Cousins and Evans are under Coach's Pop guiding hand..wow! I also remembered T.Parker not having a consistent outside jumper when he first started and now he's one of the elite point guards out there.
