I think I would try to get Dirk. It's not his fault they suck. Get him while he's still an assassin.

I would take Dirk too. I didn't see the game but reading the box score and watching clips it seems the guy gave it his all, not sure about his teammates.

Heard this on the radio today:

Mavs won 50 games for 10 straight seasons including this one. Only other teams to do that in NBA history:

Lakers 80-91 (82, 85, 87, 88 Champions)
Celtics 59-68 (8x Champions)
Spurs 00-09 (03, 05, 07 Champions)

Looks BAD when you consider that the only other teams to match what the Mavs have done won multiple championships (and those are only the rings won during the 10 year streak- they won more outside of it).

Note that the Atlanta Braves are the team that is synonymous with RS success mixed with postseason failure, and they actually won 1 championship. Mavs should take over that label.

Why is everyone calling this a choke? Because of the seeding? That's retarded. The spurs just got healthy and were playing very well as the regualr season unfolded. Greatest 7 seed of all time haha

Im definitely calling it a choke. I honestly thought the Mavs were challenging for the championship this year. I thought the mid season trade they made made them a top 3 team in the league. Specifically because of Haywood. I think alot of people thought that Dallas was the only team that could challenge the 7akers. Its just hard for me to believe that all the sudden Richard Jefferson finally grew a pair and started playing aggressive again. Perfect timing i suppose.
