Don’t get me started on Siakam. I don’t know how many debates I had on here about why I thought he would fit well with our team. Old, bad shooter, terrible fit with Fox, etc etc. were the constant flood of responses I got. Some terrible takes here that only took a look at his shooting numbers when he was the Raptors lead option and had no PG that got him open.
I meant PG whose trade from Pacers set in motion the events that ended with SGA in OKC and Hali in Indiana.

I agree with you on Spicy P (Siakam). He was not a #1 guy but would have been a good fit here as a #2 guy with his versatile defense and self-creation. The botched trade still stings.

He would’ve agreed to come if we had Haliburton instead of fox or we drafted Luka smh we should’ve been contenders for a ****ing decade man

As per reports from Chris Haynes (at the time of the proposed trade) and Sam Amick (later in the year), Siakam was ready to come here but felt disparaged by some things that were said about him by the Kings.

In any case, Raptors got a better deal from the Pacers with two first round picks and a pick swap. One of those picks was later used in the Ingram deal. I doubt we could have matched that offer. Also, Monte probably didn't want to promise a max deal extension and that made the whole exercise a waste of time.

Why wouldn’t you give Siakam a max lol everyone gets a max and he’s a legit player smh

Good for Indiana, and good for Tyrese. I still don't really believe in them as a contender, and I still have a hard time getting past the defensive drag that Hali is to his team (as well as his puzzling disappearing/reappearing act), but regardless of whatever luck the Pacers may have had on their road to success these last couple of seasons, a 50-win team made it to the effing Finals. That is impressive no matter how you slice it. I do expect them to get thoroughly curb-stomped by OKC. I'm guessing the Thunder won't let it get past five games. But I suppose we'll see what Haliburton and these scrappy Pacers are made of.

The Nets were awful defensively when Bridges was there. I always thought it was the supporting cast but maybe he was just overrated? There were DPOG talks when he was in Phoenix

He's overrated. Keegan is a better defender laterally and both aren't able to really check star guards.

Indiana doesn’t want fox for Sabonis quick let’s trade our cost controlled rookie pg averaging 17/7 with elite shooting splits for a low ceiling center who plays no defense. Pure comedy this franchise is man disheartening

Hali and Fox weren't a great fit, but talk about egregious when a coach making legit money can't just copy a 2 playmaking G system of years past. It wasn't rocket science. In the end, Domas and Hali are somewhere around the same level believe it or not. Same with Fox. Just wait, in 2 years we'll hear nothing about Haliburton but how the Kings blew it with Foxy, lol.

The Raptors wanted Keegan apparently. One to one Siakam was always a better bet than Keegan talent wise but without assurances that would have been a dumb trade.

Eh, we'll see. I think they are all under the Giannis, Bron, Duncan, etc. tier in the end. Maybe not, time will tell. It's always amazing how things change over time. I also remember arguing with people when they proclaimed Harden to be better than Jordan in the end. Time will tell. I have said and still think that currently this is a league where a player like Hali has more impact due to it being 5 out basketball whereas Domas is what he is. Transition back to the 90's and Haliburton, Curry, and a bunch of other players could be knocked back to high end role player ville or at least definitely a peg or two down.
