I drank I quart of ice tea last night.
We just signed Jason Hart to a 5 year 90M deal it was just reported in my box of cereal.
Kings sign Moochie Norris.... http://www.kings.com/kings_sign_norris
Should be a a decent vet. to have around and a locker room guy like Mateen. Also be good for the young PGs we have.

Call me stupid but I've been on a Mexican cruise the last 5 days and when I click on the link it just takes me to the Kings website but it doesn't say anything about Moochie being signed. Did this really happen or was this just a joke???![]()

But my grass did grow almost 1/10 of an inch today
Thanks for the big breaking news but this is not a joke i'm being serious we HAVE to make a trade if we're gonna let Bonzi go we have to replace him with someone who can rebound and defend why aren't we going after REGGIE EVANS?
5/9/2006
Well, living in Seattle, and having seen probably way more Reggie Evans for the last few years than most folks here, looking at the boxscores to determine Reggies value is *exactly* the problem.
Rebounding and defense are not the same thing. Reggie rebounds. Great...but he's a less than average man or help defender, he's undersized and does not block shots, he's a complete liability on offense and although he does provide energy, it gets the team into trouble with fouls and turnovers as often as it provides a lift.
He's a purely one dimensional player. Look at his "plus/minus" rating for some clues.
In 2005, for Seattle/Denver, his teams were a -6.8 when reggie was on the floor, which was among the worst for anybody on the Nuggets that played any type of minutes.
In 2004-5 for Seattle, he was marginally better, only -3.1 composite plus/minus.
There were reasons why, even last year, towards the end of the year, Reggie sat more and more. Take a look at his minutes, and you'll see that for the last 2-3 years Reggie has virutally never played in the stretch minutes, because he simply hurts your team more than he helps it on average.

I'm not comparing, merely pointing out what should be obvious - those are rebuilding situations we want to avoid. Part of that comes from trying to do too much too soon. Please don't compare the disgrace Portland and New York is to what the Kings are trying to do![]()
I,like the rest of you get up every morning and check the latest news. Hoping something will happen to make me feel optimistic about the upcoming season. I remember all the speculation last year about this trade and that trade and none of them happened. You can almost bet your life, that if there's a rumor about a Kings trade, its not going to happen.
I think it was around the last week of august last year, when out of the blue we traded Bobby Jackson for Bonzi. I don't think anyone saw that one coming.
We haven't, as far as we know, made any attempt to sign any of the free agents out there. Other than Salmons of course. We now have about 100 people who can play the point guard position. OK, I'm exagerating a little. But we have Bibby, Hart, Price,Douby, Salmon's, Garcia, once in while, and we've invited Pooh Jetter to camp. Jetter was very impressive in the summer league by the way. I can only suspect that there is a trade in the works, and it involves Bibby. Who for? I have no clue.
I should point out that I have had a few beers, so take this for what its worth. Bibby by the way, took twice as many shots last year than any other player on the Kings, except Miller, and he took over a third more than him. Way too many for a point guard. Not blaming him in particular for wanting to be the man. I just don't think you can win a championship with your top scorer being a point guard. Just ask the 76's.
