Partly. Without Webber, Divac and Christie setting screens and throwing him sweet passes he just couldn't play his role as he had. Also he didn't want to be here and it showed. It's much harder to do your job if you don't like where you're working.

But Artest brought everything this team needed (defense, low post presence, confidence, edge, etc.) plus the young guys Martin and Garcia developed.

Combined with Bonzi coming back, all these things have led to the turn around.

I will always be grateful for the time Peja was here helping the Kings. I am happy that he seems to be happy again playing for the Pacers. yeah peja has a great game if he is on the team with a superstar PF that is versatile but he just wasn't the right cog for a team of semi stars. Actually if we had Artest and Peja it would probably work well.

He seems to be putting up pretty good numbers without Jermaine Oneal.
