[Trade] Warriors have obvious Jonathan Kuminga trade demand after latest Kings reports

So how do they do this? Could we literally put together a 3-team, 2-S&T deal where Giddey goes to GSW, Monk goes to CHI, and Kuminga comes here?
It looks like this is possible - for example:

SAC gets
Kuminga (GSW, $21M S&T)
Julian Phillips (CHI, $2.2M)

GSW gets
Giddey (CHI, $21M S&T)
Jevon Carter (CHI, $6.8M)

CHI gets
Monk (SAC, $18.8M)
Hield (GSW, $9.2M)

Presumably CHI would want draft compensation for this, but the point is, if GSW want Giddey - and somehow think they can snatch him as an RFA via S&T - then here's a framework. The $$ are tight, though. It's threading the needle for sure.

Might be just me, but the most charitable thing I can say about Giddey is that maybe he's not a high IQ guy.

This would bring in a player that the Warriors want, Giddey, instead of Monk, whom they reportedly do not want. It would not require trading Moses Moody. But once again, it's all speculation, like the supposed "trade" of Monk for Rui Hachimura. There would still be the objection of sending Kuminga to a division rival. On the other hand, the Warriors need to do something if they want to have a real team next season. And Chicago finds itself in a similarly intractable standoff with Giddey.

I don't think Chicago is low balling Giddey, they are trying to get him slightly above market value but a lot of players are in denial that the current CBA has reset their market.

I mean, to be fair, that’s kind of how the valley looks when it floods.

But otherwise, a city that’s famous for, if anything at all: trees, farmland, government buildings, rivers, riverboats, bridges, and a weird looking ziggurat pyramid-thing not having any of those in its skyline picture should make someone suspect.

Why some people enjoy constantly throwing shade at our wonderful city escapes me. Surely there are better things one could be doing with their time.

So essentially GSW tried to say they have every intention of keeping JK and have no desire to trade him.

Then days later they leak interest in Giddey.

Do they really think anyone believes them about anything at this point?

They are so unlikable. They weren’t even getting a bad offer from us. I hope this all backfires spectacularly for them.
Agreed. They appear to be flailing around, with everything they want to do on hold until the Kuminga issue is resolved. I like the fact the Kings are not negotiating with themselves. GSW knows their telephone number and the Kings' position. So sit back and enjoy the summer watching the histrionics of GSW.

They can bluster around all they want, but everybody knows they have no leverage. If it comes down to Kuminga signing the QO, then they will lose him for nothing next off season. They either trade him now or lose him.

Do you mean me? No shade thrown. I love Sacramento and I gave an accurate if in-descriptive list of Sacramento's landmarks: the Capitol Building, the Tower Bridge et al, The Delta King and Queen, the Sacramento and American rivers, the Ziggurat, the city's, and by extension central valley’s, surrounding landscapes acting as a status symbol of the greatest hub of agriculture this side of the Fertile Crescent, and the natural greenery so iconic it proudly, if briefly, was adopted as the city’s title.

Not one “cowtown” mention at all.

And having lived through 3 major floods in the area, yes, that’s what it looked like (hyperbolically) in the aftermath.

If you’re reading shade from what I wrote, in all honesty I think that might be more of your own insecurities.

Sacramento’s a wonderful town and I’m proud to be from there.

There are a lot of speculative articles featuring teams with huge fanbases like the Warriors and Lakers. Anything to get those clicks. It's just business.

The Warriors could be trying to cut the enemy off at the pass. If the Bulls play their cards right they might be one of the only teams with money next offseason to flat out offer Kuminga a deal. If Kuminga takes the QO, he's likely ending up on the Bulls anyway if they want him.
