Walton Shocks Me!!!

I was upset when I saw that Walton was doing the game on ESPN. But he has had nothin but love for the Kings. Who is this man? and what has he done with Bill? (Not that I'm complaining) :D

Walton has shown love for the kings in the past, he'll show love for the kings in the future. He always shows love for the team that is playing well.

Very true, Bill Walton tends to favor the better team. Case in point, he was in love with the Lakers, now not soo much. However, he still did surprise me in today's game. After House's three at the end of the first half and i quote from tivo "73 points in the first half, i love this team!" Yes Bill Walton did say he LOVES the Kings

I have no beef with Walton..ive always liked him and ive always said that ive liked him

Chris--I thought he said I love this game...he really said team....??

i like barkley more then walton. barkley doesn't like the kings, and he makes that well known, but the man talks nothing but truth, and he KNOWS basketball. no cheesey *** lines like walton uses. i'd take barkley over walton any day.

He was probably listening to his favorite Greatful Dead album before the game so he was mellow and had plenty of love for everyone.

According to Bill ...

G-Tag turned the game completely around ...

You all crack me up .... one game he's being called a King's Hater, the next he's given all "the love" ....

Walton is a nutjob. :)

I do enjoy him, but still, does it matter what he says? Even his partner calls him a nutto.

You forgot the part where he had a "smoke"

Bill Walton is a pompous, self-absorbed wind bag who is convinced he and he alone is the speaker of truth.

Yeah, tonight he said nice things about the Kings, but that doesn't change anything. Walton's like a flag - he drifts with the wind. If the Kings hadn't been blowing the Cavs out of the arena, it would have been all about the "next Michael Jordan," and the "young phenom LeBron," etc. ad nauseum.

I despite, destest and totally abhor Bill Walton. Always have and always will and a few kind words tossed like crumbs are not going to change my mind.

I spit on Bill Walton.

;)

let me put it this way.

Tonight BW was like a student who has goten straight "F"s all year long. Tonight he got a "C"

He will still fail but he has:

a) showen some potential - chances 1%

b) proven a theory that even a blind chicken can find a corn - chances 1%

c) been under influence of something much, much stronger than whatever he usually takes or smokes - chances 98 %

I've noticed that since the year we almost won it all (when Walton REALLY talked some trash about us) Bill has toned it way down. He has been downright generous towards the Kings last year and this. I think he felt some heat.

He was on thin ice with the Lakers commentary, considering his son is on the team!

But I watched the game tonight on ESPN (I am sooooo sick of GN and JR platitudes, win or lose) and Walton was positively gushing. What fun!!!!

GO KINGS!!!!! WE CAN MAKE IT ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

(oops, I must be smoking the same thing BW is)

In Bdub's defense, that year... the Lakers did win the series...

::Now to find a damn fallout shelter...::

Whoa! Tells us how you really feel!;)

I love Mike Breen was it? I loved how he told BW he only gets 1 exaggeration per half...everyone knows how badly the man exaggerates...i find it rather funny

^^ Totally agree, with BW someone is always either the best or the worst. When a team gets hot he says something like "This is best offensive team in the game". Then later on when that same team gets hold he would say something completely contradicting himself. Either the best or the worst, there is no middle ground. Also I completely agree with VF, he changes his opinion more than politicians. Horrible announcer but at least he is interesting enough to host a thread on.

i got love for bill walton. although he can be a little obnoxious he's got nothing against the kings.

"the kings didn't get a fair shot to win the title"-bill walton in 2002 after the laker series.

dude is on our side.

Don't beat around the bush VF -- just tell us how you feel. ;)

Walton is a front-runner. If he was announcing us against the Spurs, we would be saying he is the worst ever ;)

hes really funny....the things he says are so obvious lol and he gets sidetracked alot

I don't like Walton but I thank God we only have to deal with Steve Kerr on Thursdays and Charles Barkley only does halftime shows. (during which I promptly hit "mute" and go get a snack.)

Those guys...Gah.

it's doug collins who i can't stand. he obviously doesn't like the kings and his commentating is annoying. steve kerr is alright when he's not doing spurs' games. he did write that nice article about the kings after the all-star snubbing.
