Well, #3 (very soon to be #1) Illinois CRUSHED current #1 Wake Forest. Illini dominated from the opening tip, increasing their lead by minute. They were up by 30 half way through the second half when coach Weber decided to give some time to the freshmen. Illinois also played a good part of the game without Deron Williams who got in foul trouble early.
The best thing about the game was the celebration atmosphere in Assembly Hall, so that you could barely hear the announcers throughout most of the game. Illinois has the best home record in all of NCAA in the last five years and God help anyone who comes to Champaign.
